I was woken up by a blaring sound of music coming into my ears, I decided to get up and change to investigate where it was coming from.
I put on my clothes for the day and went down stairs to find Mom trying to cook pancakes I think? And I saw Nora and Dad with questionable looks on their face too.
"Hey guys, what smells so good?" I sarcastically smiled because you know I like to be nice.
"Iris cooked an Delicious breakfast" Dad said trying to be as nice because mom usually doesn't cook us breakfast or any meal what's so ever. I sat at the table with them cutting the black pancakes and putting on a smile. Nora took out her phone and took an picture of the pancakes.
"What are you doing there, Nora?" Iris asked.
"Just getting proof that you make lumpy pancakes in every timeline" Nora said, while I tried not to laugh.
"Let's try them out" my Dad says being nice to mom even though we both know they look terrible.
"Um yeah, I would totally love pancakes but I just realized it's not in my diet today" I said making up an excuse while going to get an banana and yogurt and heading back to my room to grab my school work to work on when I'm bored at star labs.

Barry Pov
Nora just left the table to get ready to go to Star Labs and Iris puts her head in her hands and sighed. "You know, I thought having her here, we would finally have a chance to connect, but it's like every time we take a half-step forward, we end up taking six steps back."
" I-I mean, don't give up. She'll come around." i rubbed her back to give reassurance" - I have a feeling."
-"Yeah. Well, not if I keep making food like that." she said grabbed the plates off the table.
"Hey, no, this really is good. It is. I mean, it's a little, like - black but still good" i said trying to convince her.
" your having what Kenz had, a banana" i was about to speak again when Iris cut me off and throwing a banana at me. " go grab Kenz, i have to clean up here"
i walked up the stairs to go to Mackenzie's bedroom to get Kenz when i saw her viciously going through all her things looking for something, she looks really worried and scared.
"Hey Kenz" i wasn't getting an answer "Hey Kenz, hey you okay?" i finally got her attention by grabbing her hand.
"oh hey dad, what are you doing here?" she continues to look for something
"just checking on you, hey what's wrong? it looks like your about to cry" i asked her as she wiped her eyes.
"nothing, i just cant find my Song book, i swore i had it yesterday," she said looking in her backpack and dumping everything out. " why isn't it here? where could be?" i grabbed on to her shoulders and got her to sit down on her bed looking at me.
" we will find your book, don't worry" i said trying to help her to calm her down.
" its more than just a book though, it was what Mom left me before she left us. the only thing she have ever given me, i can't loose it, if i loose it i loose her." as she said that very last thing about 'if she loose it, she'll loose her mom' just broke my heart seeing my daughter like that. She's always a sweet bundle joy but this just makes me what to hold her. i brought her into a hug and she was shaking little while crying into my shoulder.

" hey we will check Star Labs, to see if its there, we WILL find it i promise you that. come on lets go Star Labs together" i said as i was getting up and starting to walk to the door when i looked but to see her not moving. " Hey Kenzie, you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, can i actually stay her instead? i need some alone time right now but i will meet you guys at the gane" she asked me.
"yeah of course, I'll see you later?"
"thanks dad"
i walked out of Kenzie's room and headed downstairs to see Iris, and if she was ready to go.
"hey Bare, where's Kenz?" she came over to me to notice i didn't bring Kenzie down with me.
"ah, she asked if she could stay here, she having a hard time. she cant find her song book that her mother gave her behind she left us." i told iris and a wave a sadness hit her eyes. "you haven't seen it have you?"
" oh no Kenz, i haven't seen it but I'll look for it, doe she need anyone to be with right now?"
"she said she wanted alone time, so we should probably go to star labs to check to see if theirs any new update about Cicada and if we can find her book." i picked up Iris bridled style and sped us to star labs to check what we got.

Kenzie Pov
Dad just left my room and i was currently sitting on bed but i laid my back down on the bed to think about my book. My biological mother gave it to me before she left my dad and i, yes I'm mad she left us but at the same time I'm not, i don't know her side of the story. Well that was true until up to yesterday when i found a folded piece of paper in my book between two pages, with the title 'To my Beautiful Daughter' . i wasn't sure about opening it, so I thought I would do it today but I can't do that if I can't find my book. ____________________________________

i wonder what her biological mother wrote to her, just kidding i know what she wrote but you guys don't so stay tuned.
