Kenz found a number in her songbook and she called it and her mother picked up. She's made plans with her but isn't telling anyone and Iris found out that not only will Nora hate her but also kenzie too.

Kenzie's POV

I woke up super early this morning because of all the nerves going through my body. I don't know if I should be happy that meeting her or that I should hate her because she did leave Dad and I when I was born. You know what I'm going to keep an open mind.

So, I went downstairs to get breakfast to see my Dad sitting on the couch reading some files, I don't know if I should ask him about the disappearance I hear mom and Nora talking about. Well he hasn't notice me yet but I guess he probably has a reason why he didn't tell me.

I walked into the kitchen to grab some food when my Dad finally notices me.

"Good morning Kenzie" Dad said looking up at me from his work. "So Iris just left for work but I thought why not the two us hang out this morning?"

"Oh I would love to but um... I... Am meeting Emily today, she just got back from vacation with her family and we wanted to catch up." I said making up a lie so Dad doesn't know I'm meet Mom.

"Alright then, just be back by 5" I went to kiss my dad on the cheek and for a thank you.

"Thank you Daddy, i'm going to get ready" i skipped off to my room to get ready and message Emily.

Okay fine, I was wondering if I could use you as in excuse to tell my parents because I'm meeting my biological mom today that I just found out that she still lives here.

Wait you found your biological mom?

Yeah, I found a letter and phone number in my songbook and it turned out to be her.

Okay I'm coming with you.

Fine, I'll see you 12:00

12:00pm

I was all ready to go, so I came down the stairs made sure my hair looked good in the mirror by the door when I hear a knock. I opened the door to see Emily standing there so of course u went to hug her since I haven't seen her in so long.

"Hey, you ready?" Emily asked me as I nodded.

"Yeah I think so, Were meeting her at jitters at 2:00"

"Perfect that means more time to catch up". We left the apartment and started walking through the park laughing and getting back in sinc.

Emily and I made it to Jitters and got our orders and sat down waiting. People came in and came out and every time I always hope my mother was in the bunch. I took a sip of my drink and looked down slightly when I heard my name.
