Ahmad.
"Innalillahi wa Inna ilaihi Raji'un! Where could my daughter be in this world" A woman wailed, I heard her before I saw her. She threw both hands on her head and knelt down in the middle of the room.
Oops the girls mother had made her dramatic appearance, I knew she would cause commotion when she finally came.
"Ufff, overly dramatic" Leena commented and rolled her eyes.
"Leena! Keep elderly people out of your sneaky comments okay, the woman's child has been kidnapped, have some conscience" I reprimanded. I was also thinking the same thing, but I had to play the older brother rule of course.
My mother hugged her in a comforting gesture. "Try to calm down, we'll find her very soon. Guards are everywhere looking for her" my mother consoled. Her father just stood arm crossed in the middle of the room without speaking a word to anyone.
The noise outside increased and it caught everyone's attention. The commotion was so much that we could barely decipher what they were saying.
"We've found her! But she's unconscious. Create space for me to bring her in" a guard shouted from outside. I pushed my way to the front to get a better view
Alhamdulillah! Thank God she had been found. But how did they release her so quickly? And that too without asking for ransome. Then why did they kidnap her in the first place? Thoughts like that roamed around my head.
The guard brought her in and laid her On a couch. Her mother went over and laid her head on her lap. Fannah was completely unharmed save for a bruise on her hand and a lump on the right side of her forehead.
"Can someone get the doctor, please?" Her mother spoke while wiping away tears with the back of her palm.
"I'm here! Let me examine her" Doctor Zul said as he rushed forward with a stethoscope around his neck. He put down his briefcase and began to feel her pulse.
"I think the kidnapper hit her head on the wall to make her unconscious, that should explain the lump on her head right?" Someone spoke from the background. I thought about it for a second, it made sense. But Dr Zul didn't agree with that.
"No! In my opinion, The kidnapper started by grabbing her hand roughly. He held it so tight that he bruised her hand. That should explain these days faint bruises on her hand. And then, I can smell chloroform on her breath which means the kidnapper used the chloroform to make her unconscious. In an attempt to break free from his hold, she banged her head on the wall. That should explain the lump on her forehead" Dr Zul accounted for each bruise on her body. If not because I knew better, I would have accused Dr Zul for the kidnapping.
Dr Zul has been our family doctor for as long as I can remember. He is very good at his work and he also manages to guess how an accident had happened. I still wonder if it's a thing doctors can do or it's just him.
"But what I don't understand is why she is still unconscious till now. I guess she must have inhaled so much for her to still be unconscious. But I'll give her an injection that'll oust the chloroform from her system" Dr Zul concluded. He rummaged through his briefcase and produced a syringe and a little round bottle.
"Thank you very much Zulkifl" my father shook his hand in gratitude.
"No, I'm just doing my job. And I think the room is really crowded. Maybe we should try reducing the population" Dr Zul suggested. Without being told, the maids and guards started filing out of the room.
"She was dumped not very far from the palace sir, and we found this envelope in her hand. We do not know what is inside" one of the guards spoke and handed a brown envelope to my father.
The guard left after giving the letter to my father. leaving My father and mother, Fannah's parents, Huda Leena and I in the living room. A young girl whom I didn't recognize was also in the room with us. Her eyes were red after much crying I guess
My father opened the envelope carefully and took out a white paper from it. He examined it carefully and then handed it to me.
"It's a letter, read it" he said and handed the letter to me. I carefully took the letter from him and went through it. The letter was was neatly typed and printed.
"Fannah Dearest,
I wish I could tell you my name now but it's unfortunate that I can't. But you can call me Ahna's Frienemy. I was responsible for your kidnap today. I didn't do it with the intention of hurting you as this is just a warning. A warning for you to stay away from the prince as you are unfit to marry him. Call off the wedding before it's too late for you. Failure to do so, I promise to bring Lucifer himself from hell just to torment you. I'll make your life so miserable that you'll pray for your death five times every day and I mean it. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
Whether I get to meet you again all depends on you dear friend. Think carefully before making a decision.Yours sincerely
Ahna's Frienemy"I read the letter out loud for all to hear. I looked up at them and everyone stared back at me with the same emotions. Fear, Shock and confusion was all I saw in everyone's eyes.

Ahna's Frienemy
They say, To love a king is not bad but a king who loves you is better, this king clearly does not love Fannah but she foolishly agreed to marry him. Well, as long as I am alive and breathing, I won't let that happen. I'll do all I can to make sure that this marriage does not happen.
It is of the prince's good that I stop this wedding. She doesn't deserve him and she knows that. Besides he has someone he loves and she loves him too. I know the prince was not happy about what I did today but I had to do it. He'll be grateful later.
It was very entertaining to see all the frightened looks on their faces today. I've never seen the king as frightened as he was today. The Queen's beautiful face was marred with sadness today, and the girl's oh so dramatic mother gave me a whole lot of joy. Call me Sadistic but I truly enjoyed every bit of it.
I had one of my boys kidnap her today at the mall. He used chloroform to make her pass out and then he brought her to me. I personally injected 5ml of chloroform into her body so she wouldn't wake up while she was with me. But Dr. Zul has taken care of her so I'm sure she'll be fine.
Striking from the shadows is more fun than I thought. I got to see all their sad expressions and of course I had to pretend along with them. And the prince, he was caught in between gratitude and resentment. He was grateful that I was helping him and he resented me because the Santalmas do not believe in violence. I think I heard him call me Mr third party, tsk tsk I am actually a Miss and not a Mr. Goodbye for now, I might see you again if that girl chooses to still go on with the wedding.
