"The Nolan history is an important topic that every Nolanian must know. It is a grand privilege to belong to such a beautiful kingdom that is blessed with so much gold and silver. Not everyone is opportune of course, that is why in the trade market we take the highest advantage and earn the highest profits. As you know in the beginning, before the four kingdoms were united as one to form the main Nolan, there were four different individual groups or clans and these-" What one earth was the point of learning history of the kingdom if at the end it would not help in any way whatsoever? The princess seemed content though to bring her perfectly rehearsed speech to light, and she was not taking no for an answer. "They had been united by a simple act, a marriage between two clans that made them one-" I turned my attention back on the book I had with me,

"Do you know why I love you" The male character asked. The woman whatever her name was replied. "No why?" He held onto her hands and drew her close to him. "Because you are you, and because I want you to be the mother of my children."

The woman turned dramatically, and I let out a sigh. "Oh, Kenthy, I cannot, I simply cannot for my heart it belongs to another." He took a step back. "You you cannot mean.. but your words your .. your letters.. but how could this be?" She turned to face him and held his hands in hers. "Your brother." It was more than a whisper, "We are expecting soon." She placed her hand on her stomach and smiled. He took a step back. "No" he said, it was a whisper, "no" he said again, "You cannot mean?" she nodded her head.

"I believe you know more about this topic than I ? You must enlighten us." Twenty four of the ladies had their eyes on me. Great!. She made me the attention of everyone. She gestured for me to stand up, which I did slowly but steadily. I looked her straight in the eyes. "Well?" I asked her, she looked at me confused. "Well, enlighten us about the reasons as to why the kingdoms became one, your grace." She spat the last words with enough venom than Amelia could have.

"They joined for political purposes, everyone knew that the Western clan had more power and more advantage compared to all four put together. They also joined for security reasons, the Northern territory were getting a fair share of outside attacks compared to all other three, the Southern was considered most resourceful, as they held more than the average amount of resources, as for the Eastern considering that that they were more or less under populated, they desired for marriages between the other three clans, so they came together and formed Nolan, a bigger better version with more culture and tradition." I turned to look at her, she held a cool composure, but deep down, I knew I had hurt her pride, she wanted to make a fool of me, but then I continued.

"What is the point of having four clans put together when the same problems they tried to eradicate so long again are still happening? The local farmers of the lower regions face thugs and security problems, and most of their products die off before they reach the main market." I turned in a certain someones direction. "Some lords even go further as to take the farms that belong to these local farmers and make them sweat and earn when at the end of the day, they are not given any pay and the little they make is taken away from them." "Why can you not keep your mouth shut!" Apparently the person knew whom I was referring. "Why should I, when it is my responsibility to make a better living for those that are lower and cannot afford much."

"It was not and is not my fault that they were born little peasants, why should I care for them when they are nothing but good for nothing." "Those good for nothing are the same people that dress you up every morning, the same people that salve each and every day in the kitchens making you food, the same people that work with bare hands to make the silk and stain you wear:"

"What pray are you trying to say, your ladyship? That the king and queen," Princess Madelyn spoke so slowly, "The royal court are not doing anything of these things that you claim." I got so tired of listening to all the crap. "What I am saying your highness is that they can do better!" I almost screamed, the whole room went deadly silent, I could hear a pin drop. "Everyone out!" It was not a request but a command. "Except you." In no less than a few seconds the room was cleared of all gowns, with only the princess and I left.

"Who gave you a right to speak like that in front of me?" "I do not need permission from a spoiled brat to speak up if I want." "How dare you call me spoiled? Your simply a lady, a level lower than me, learn to know whom you talk to, I will not-" "Will not what ?" I cut her short and walked to the little table by the side, poured myself a glass of some foul substance that was considered a drink and took a sip. "If I can remember correctly, I was the last lady to have been given an invitation to the palace to compete for the princes hand, and if I may ask what exactly is the reason?"
