Three days later he woke to Clara kicking him again, always harder than was likely necessary.

"Hey gorgeous. I think the beauty sleep has done all it's capable of." Sarcasm sounded like it came pretty damn easy to her.

Loki sat up and wiped the drool from his face, blinking into the daylight.

"Off again I suppose?" Ignoring her jabs.

"Nah. I figure with the big baddie gone we have some time to recoup. After your failed attempt at unaliving yourself, and my incredible acts of heroism, we deserve a little downtime."

He pressed his lips together and raised one eyebrow at her with his signature 'Really?' look.

"Besides," Clara continued. "We will hear the adorable band of merry men coming a mile away. They might be vicious, but damn they are stupid, and loud!"

Loki choked on the water she had passed to him with a weary laugh.

"How long was I um..." He began

"Asleep for? Hard to say since I was practically dead to the world for most of it too. I woke up yesterday, gave you an extra one, hoping you could just sleep the stupid off."

"Now hang on. It's not as if I actually desired all that attention from that wraith and you weren't practically dead either. You were properly dead for some time." He didn't say it maliciously but she still flinched. "I apologize, that was a rather crude way of telling you that."

Clara rounded on him in an attempt to mask her own insecurities. "Maybe you didn't ask for it but you were certainly easily influenced. I warned you about the dangers of this forest, about that thing, and you went out of your princely little way to attract it and fall under its spell. What did it show you anyway, your mommy?"

It was his turn to flinch. "Harsh, but .. but yes actually. It took the form of my mother, who was killed because of my princeliness ."

"Shit, Loki ..."

Interrupting her, he started, "Why do you do that?"

"Do what?"

"I have been alone on this planet for, I don't even know how long so I can only imagine how long you have been alone, running scared in the woods without a soul to confide in. And we have been together for some time, even fighting off demons together now, and you still don't have a kind word for me? Did I put you here? What could I have possibly done to attract such a vile attitude from you?"

"Ugh!" Indignant, she slammed her fists in the air and turned away from him. "Are you really one to talk? Mister, poor me, I'm adopted and nobody loves me so I am going to act out and try and take over another world to prove that I'm just as powerful as my big brother. Killing plenty of people in the process I might add!" It really hadn't been healthy for her to hold back so much, now it was spilling out without a filter and there was no reason or thought process behind anything she said. She was about to slip up.

Loki's face fell, letting her words cut through him, taking the abuse he knew he probably deserved.

"Ouch man, she really has you down pretty good." Not Mobius laughed.

"Shut up." he hissed.

"Excuse me?!" There was a fury behind her eyes.

"No," He tried to explain, "Not y..." and was interrupted. Her tirade wasn't quite over.

"And that's another thing. You DID put me here! If it weren't for you I wouldn't have found my whole existence to be a lie and I wouldn't be running for my life on some weird planet with a freaking moon that talks! You think you can just show up, get me killed and we are just going to be besties?"
