KAILYN POV

As hard as it was to do, I left Mashawn when my body craved several more rounds because I already promised my Mom that we would spend the day together since she had flew all the way out here to see me.

I pulled up to the Hilton that my mom was staying at and was informed of the room she was in. "Hi Mommy!" I squeal as my mom opened the door and met her with a hug.

"Kailyn I've missed you so much sweetie. Come in." she replied as she led me into her suite and I took a seat on the plush sofa. "So where all you taking me today? You know I've been wanting to see the Statue of Liberty, go shopping, ooo and I definitely wanna s-"

"Mom, mom relax. We can do all that but first let's just relax and talk." I assure.

"Alright sweetie I'm sorry, I'm just so excited I've never been to New York before and I hear it's a lot to do." she answered excitedly.

"There is Mom and we can do it all but first how's Dad and Payge?" I ask.

"Ohh their fine, they're still mad that they couln't come out here you know with him working and Payge in college...... but anyway they're alright sweetie. We still miss you and would love for you to be back home. You know how many crazy folk there are down there." she answered with a laugh sitting besides me.

"I miss all you guys too and I'm not gonna lie, I've contimplated going back." I admit as my thoughts trail back to my run down car and depressing ass apartment.

"I take it that your not doing great up here?" she ask as I try to avoid eye contact.

"Up until recently no. I'd have a couple of clients here and there but nothing official till about a week or so ago."

"Ohh that's great is she coming every day?"

"HE comes in 2 or 3 times a week, I actually was with him this morning."

"Well that explains a lot." she said with a hardy laugh.

"And what is that supposed to mean?" I ask with a fake chuckle.

"Well for starters, you've been real smiley and I mean the type of smiley when somebody's caught your eye and plus I could have sworn I smelled Old Spice but I just wasn't sure."

I shook my head in disbelief at my mom's assumption. I mean, was my infactuation that obvious and I definitely didn't notice the fragerence till she brought it up. "Mom, I don't know what your talking about." I lied as I pretended to sip my cup of tea.

"So who is he?" she asked and before I could say his name, I glanced out the window and saw Mashawn on a Nike billboard. I just smiled and pointed to it and my Mom followed my gesture and looked at the man on the poster. "Ohh girl he's fine, I might have to take him from you." she said with a wink.

"How bout we get out of here and head to the Statue of Liberty?" I suggest as we walk towards the door but before I close it, I make sure to see Mashawn's poster again and instantly smile.

MASHAWN POV

After I left Kailyn, I got a text from this unknown number talking bout meeting them at Central Park. At first, I wasn't gone go but the person assured it was important and I decided to go cause the park's always crowded so if some crazy shit pop off there will be witnesses.

I walked over the bench in the middle of the park where the anonymous texter told me they would be and I took a seat by them. To take the edge off, I took out a blunt I already rolled and took a pull. "Look here, I don't know who you are, but everybody in the city knows who I am and loves me too, so if you pull some crazy shit you gone get put to death." I warn to break the prolonged silence.
