Nicole's POV:

I was sitting in my room packing for Florida. I was throwing clothes on the bed. I heard cameron come home.

He walked in the door. I smiled at him. "Are you packed for this weekend" I asked.

"Yeah about that. We need to talk" he said.

I looked at him.

"Ok well you see. My manager/boss planned this huge meeting thing for 2 weeks in New York City. And I have to go to it. It starts Saturday. I fly out Friday with Nash." He told me.

I nodded. "Oh cool." I smiled. I held back the tears. I continued packing.

"Are you mad" he asked.

"Why would I be mad. I understand" I smiled. I was lying to him.

"Ok. Good" he smiled. He kissed my forehead and walked out of the room. He shut the door. I sat on the ground and cried.

I got up and wiped my eyes. I put blaze on the leash and started to walk out of the apartment. I heard footsteps behind me.

"Hey where are you going" he asked.

I turned around. "I'm gonna take blaze for a walk" I told him.

"Oh alright. Love you" he said.

"Yeah. Love you too" I said. I started walking. I got into the elevator. I started crying again.

Cameron's POV:

"Hey Kennedy. I think I hurt Nicole" I told her.

She set her clothes down and looked at me. Jack looked up from his suitcase.

"Why" she asked.

"I'm not gonna be able to go to Florida this weekend because I have this huge thing for work in New York" I told her.

"Oh. Yeah. Well she was really looking forward to you meeting her brother and family. But I'm sure she will be fine." She said.

"Ok. Thanks" I smiled. I turned around.

"Wait. Do you know where she is." Kennedy asked.

"No. She said she was taking blaze for a walk. She seemed upset when I asked her" I said.

"Alright" she said. I walked into the bedroom and looked at her phone.

Jared: can't wait to meet him. So ready💁

I felt horrible for not going. I decided to call my sister.

Kennedy's POV:

I walked out of the apartment building. I started walking when I saw a park. I walked through the gates. I saw Nicole by a lake. She was sitting on the ground. She had her legs pulled into her chest. Blaze was laying next to her. Her hair was messy. The little makeup she had on was probably messy. I walked up behind her. I heard her softly crying. I saw the mascara rubbed on her hand.

I sat next to her. She looked at me. I rubbed her back. She laid her head on my shoulder. Blaze walked over and laid in between us.

"What happened." I asked.

"He's not coming. He's working" she cried.

"I'm sure he's gonna make it up to you" I told her.

"How. Everyone was so excited to meet him. What am I supposed to tell jared. He's gonna be so mad. My mom is gonna be upset. My dad is gonna be devastated. I don't know how to tell them" she said.

"They'll understand. It's gonna be fine" I said.

She nodded. She took a deep breath. We watched the sunset. "Ready to go home" I asked.

"Yeah" she mumbled.

We stood up. Blaze jumped up and started wagging his tail.

"What are you guys doing with blaze" I asked.

"Um Taylor said she would watch him for us" she said.

"Oh true" I laughed. She smiled.

Cameron's POV:

I was laying in bed on my phone. Nicole walked in.

"Hey babe" I sat up.

"Hey" she smiled. Blaze jumped on the bed.

She sat next to me. She grabbed her phone and looked at it.

"I'm really sorry. I know your upset" I told her.

"Cameron I told you it's fine. Don't worry" she smiled.

"It's not fine. Your sad. So I will worry" I told her.

"Well you shouldn't. Because I'm ok" she told me.

"I love you" I told her.

She moved and sat on my lap. "I love you too" she said kissing me.
