You woke up and looked out the window to see that today was a pretty rainy day and there were no signs of the sun coming out any time soon you didn't mind the rain much but because you wanted to do your hair the only think you could do is hope that by the time you went to meet Childe it would stop, you had many umbrellas in your house but your parents only use them for decor you always wondered why because aren't most of the umbrellas that are hanged in the halls actually used for rainy days like these one day you even asked your parents if you could use one of these but they sadly said no

A few hours passed and there were two hours before you could meet up with Childe so you started getting prepared while doing so you saw that the rain eased up a bit so you hurried your pace a little and by the time you were done you had almost an hour to spare you looked out the window again and the rain clouds were almost gone so you took the chance and hurried outside and yes you had already told your parents about this even though it was a bit of a challenge but eventually they let you go since you didn't show any signs of defeat, once you were at the entrance of Wanmin Restaurant but you didn't see the ginger anywhere near so your only guess for now is that he's either inside or he hasn't arrived yet so you went and asked Xiangling if a tall ginger with a red mask on his hair and a hydro vision already arrived and turns out he already arrived and she signaled you to follow her

Doing as she said she lead you to a table almost at the corner of the building and there he was with what it looked like a very short man with a hat thats probably bigger than him "Y/N! Good to see you decided to come please take a seat" the ginger said while patting the seat next to him you got the idea and sat down where he said "So is this the 'friend' you were bringing?" You had asked "don't make me laugh, him? My friend? Did you really tell her that? Well if you truly wanna know he's more of an acquaintance, a co-worker or a parasite and quite the annoying one too" the small one said "Dont say that you'll hurt my feelings and I might cry" you let out a small laugh to what was going on between the two of em "But anyways Y/N this is Scaramouche he's the friend I told you I was gonna bring i was also gonna invite Zhongli but he hasn't seem to have arrived but anyways he might seem bit mean but he's a real sweetheart when you get to know him better" the ginger said and you looked at him and back at Scaramouche "Well then nice to meet ya Scaramouche let me introduce myself peroperly i'm Y/N Jade and I work in a fishing shop with my parents its not very far actually its just a few turns from here" you introduced yourself and stretched out your hand to be greet him it he hesitated a bit and shook yours "I'm Scaramouche i guess im more well-known as The Balladeer i guess Childe has talked about me" you had a feeling you've heard that name before or atleast heard Childe say it once or twice then it finally clicked "Yeah he did once or twice but he only mentioned you to be with the fatui so does that mean you're with the fatui" "yes, thats correct" he confirmed

You thought about it for a moment and something kinda didn't make sense "Then Childe, how'd you meet him" you asked "Well let's just say a toy salesman like me has many connections the fatui being one of them" he said with a confident tone and a smirk on his face "Toy salesman? Oh please you know that Y/N here isn't Teucer carrot head" then he looked at you "Y/N. Childe here is part of the fatui like me i don't know how he did it but he got away with it" you then looked at Childe "Why? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU NAD A COOLER JOB!?" you screamed loud enough to get unwanted attention from the other people at the other tables "Well if you think my job is cool why not join me then? I'll be happy to have you working with us" He offered "I'm sorry but ill have to decline this offer im still helping my family with the shop I cant just leave like that but if anything drastically happens maybe I'll consider it"

(let me clarify something rq so let's just say that Y/N til now didn't know that Childe was with the fatui and that he did the same excuse of being a toy salesman as he did with Teucer but it was because it was the first thing that came to his mind once meeting you)
