It's been three days since Tom disappeared. Three day since James Potter started annoying him. There was no letter, no information. Severus sighed. He was sitting in the charms class, listening to professor half heartedly. Newt Scamander sat next to him. His nargles might have told him.

Today he was asked to meet his parents. He simply gazed at the charms notes in front of him. It was actually easy, Tom had helped him with this charms.

He sighed again.

He didn't mean to hurt Tom. He definitely didn't want to stand up for James Potter. He knew that of Tom did something, Tom would be punished heavily. Potter was the teacher's favorite. He couldn't risk it. If only Tom had waited for an explanation.

" Sev?"

He looked up to see Newt staring at him.

" What?"

" The class is over "

He looked around. The class was empty. He gathered his things and walked out along with Newt.

" Sev!"

He heard James calling for him.

" What do you want Potter?"

He said before turning back.
" Come with me to a date. "

" No "

" Why not?"

" I am not free. I have to meet my parents "

" Then let me come with you "

" No"

James tried to calm himself down. Finally he had his mate back, what was his problem now. As a mate, it was his right to be with him.

" Why not?"

" It's family only "

" Am I not a part of it then?"

" No. James you are noone to me. And please refrain yourself from addressing me as your mate, because I am not."

" Well then why did you stand up for me yesterday "
James asked with a cocky grin. He was sure that Severus was just playing hard to get. After all, he was the great James Potter. No one can resist his charms.

" I didn't want anything to happen to Tom. "

James Potter glared the Slytherin who simply continued to walk away. He knew just the way to get Severus to be his. ' just wait. Sweetheart, I will make you mine '

Severus entered the Prince manor. He was already tired, more than usual.

" Dad?"

Nicole was standing next to his husband.

" Please sit down Sev. "

He sat down Infront both his dad's. Nicole looked troubled while his father looked devoid of any emotions. He looked at the small bundle of paper Infront of him.

His dad pushed those papers and a pen towards him. " Sign"

" What are these"? He skimmed through the lines, his heart getting heavier by the minute.

" Why? " Severus asked with glossy eyes.

" It was your choice "

" What choice?"

" If you wish to go back to your mate the engagement breaks. Something you did, triggered the charm. Sev, dear,the ring -"

Severus looked at his finger. His dad was right. It was blank.

" No " he whispered gently before tears started flowing down.
