"So the lights go up here?" I yelled down to Rowan, who gave me a thumbs up.

We were outside getting ready for the party, after last night everyone was tired, but we still had to get ready.

In the end... I wasn't sure where we all stood when it came to Carrots.

I postponed our discussion half way through to give Reagan some time to think on his own.

Which in turn made me stressed and anxious.

Which pissed Roman off when I snapped at him.

Hence none of us were in a good mood, except for Rowan. For whatever reason.

I clipped on the lights then climbed down the ladder.

"That ought to do it." I looked around the decorated yard and smiled.

I turned as the door that led inside opened. Carrots popped his head out.

"Hey, Roman made lunch and some drinks."

I nodded and started to trudge my way over. I paused as Rowan gently grabbed my hand and rubbed his thumb over my palm.

"It's going to be okay."

I groaned and covered my face.

"What were we thinking?! Gah, this is a disaster!" Rowan cracked a half-hearted smile.

"We weren't thinking, I think that's what got us into this whole mess."

I nodded and sighed, rubbing my eyes.

"Let's go eat."

The two of us made it in, and Roman silently handed me a plate of food. I looked into his blue eyes and sighed at the guilt filling them.

"Roman -"

"Don't Sora, not in the mood." Roman snapped them winced. "Shit, no, I just..."

I forced a smile. "It's fine Roman, why don't you go shower or something."

Roman raised an eyebrow.

"Are you saying I stink?"

I gave him a genuine smile this time.

"It might relieve some of that stress. Now I'm going eat this-" I glanced down at my plate. "Hamburger."

Roman nodded and shooed me away. I sat down at the table where Rowan was on his phone.

"Watcha doing?" I asked.

Rowan looked up. "I just got told who all was coming, apparently one of my old friends is coming with his little sister. The guy was a bit of a douche in school, but I'm sure he's outgrown that."

I nodded and my fingers paused on my food.

"How old is this little sister? I don't want a little kid coming to a party you throw."

Rowan waved me off and snorted.

"She's legal, jeez, what do you take me for? I think I have an old pic of her and Liam actually." As Rowan sifted through his phone I walked over.

Rowan held up a picture of a cute white haired girl. I squealed and grabbed his phone.

"She looks adorable!"

Rowan grinned.

"She's eight years older than in the photo Sora, just so you know."

I waved him off and handed the phone back.

"She's probably really pretty, that hair is so beautiful! I can't wait to meet her."

Rowan nodded. "Glad to hear it." He paused and looked at his food as Reagan walked into the room.

Carrots choked on what he was eating in the kitchen, so I ran over and slapped his back brows raised.

Real subtle guys, real subtle.

"Want some food?" I offered quickly.

Reagan nodded shortly and glared at Carrots as he walked into the kitchen.

Well this isn't good.

"Here you go, Roman made these." I handed Reagan a plate. Reagan grabbed it from me, and made sure not to touch me while doing so.

I faltered as Reagan shoved past me and stormed out of the room.

Rowan winced at my crestfallen expression.

"Time Sora, give him time."

I cleared my throat and quickly wiped my face clean.

"I know. I don't know why I was expecting any different. I'll go check on things outside."

I exited to the outdoors quickly and looked into the pool. I sighed heavily and sat down, sticking my feet into the water.

We should have talked to him, but about what?

'Hey Reagan, I think Roman might just want to fuck Carrots, but I'm not sure yet.'

Up until yesterday, I had no idea.

By the time I was fairly certain, Reagan had already left.

"What are you doing here by yourself?" I looked up at Roman.

"Thinking about Reagan."

Roman nodded and sat beside me. I bit my lip harshly.

"Maybe we should cancel the party." I blurted and looked up at him.

Roman shook his head.

"Don't be ridiculous, you and Rowan spent all day setting up for tomorrow."

I shrugged.

"Maybe having a party was selfish too, Reagan hates people."

Roman shrugged.

"Sora, you are talking to the guy who forced Reagan to go to the store so he was forced to interact with people. We are having that party."

I sighed.

"Fine."
