I stood in the stands eagerly as I watched the next play go down. Archer and Aspen stood to my left and right."So, Aria, about the party-" Aspen began. I leaned forward on the rail gasping.
"Third down! This is there last chance to get the touchdown, or they lose!" I breathed with excitement.
Archer's jaw ticked with annoyance. "Aria, the party, there is no way in hell -"
"Touchdown!" I screamed along with the shouting crowd. Reyland lifted up the football and shouted as his teammates swarmed around him.
I laughed and watched Reyland get lifted up. "He's gotten a lot better." I said slightly surprised.
Aspen frowned. "Well, he is the main guy, isn't he?"
I nodded still leaning on the rail, grinning. Aspen frowned. "Aria, be careful, you could fall." He warned.
I glanced at him and was promptly elbowed in the back by a crazy fan. I shrieked and fell forward as the opposing team began making their way across the field.
The quarterback quickly ran forward and I gasped when he grabbed my hips breaking my fall. I grabbed his shoulders wincing and stared into grey eyes.
"H-hi Mr."
He smiled. "Sup."
My cheeks flushed as the heat from his hands sank into my skin, and those grey eyes sparkled in amusement.
"Hey let go of- oh, he's kinda hot." Aspen admitted and turned red. I looked up, and the football player did too.
My eyes widened and the player set me on the ground. "I'm Anton, nice to meet you in person Aria." I frowned.
"How do you know me?"
Anton flashed a smile. "Reyland mentions you sometimes. Looks like he beat us today though."
I nodded and hesitantly smiled. "Thank you for catching me."
His teammates watched curiously, and he waved them on ahead before turning to look at me once more.
"No problem sweetheart, although, your brother looks pissed." Anton pointed behind me and I turned as Archer huffed.
"That ass always looks like someone pissed in his cheerios." Archer muttered. Anton laughed then paused when I looked at him.
Before I could question him, Reyland stomped over and grabbed my wrist. "Stay away from my sister Jones."
Jones? So Anton Jones?
Anton smiled and put his hands in the air. "No promises."
Reyland flushed. "I mean it, stay the hell away, she has nothing to do with our games."
Anton smirked. "How arrogant of you, I just have an eye for cute things with tons of personality."
I blushed and touched my hot cheeks. "You think I'm cute too?"
Reyland faltered. "Who else has been hitting on you?"
I looked up at him. "Aspen doesn't hit me, he just thinks I'm cute."
Aspen nodded. "Really cute."
Anton smiled. "Absolutely adorable."
Archer hummed. "The prettiest fucking thing on the planet."
I inhaled and looked at the ground embarrassed. "Guys..." I whined.
Reyland sighed. "We need to go if we're going to make it to the party."
Anton paused. "You're taking your little sister to that kind of party? Are you crazy?!"
Reyland raised an eyebrow. "None of your business loser."
Anton crossed his arms and I looked between them anxiously. "We're talking drunken horny men, crazy chicks, and drugs! Why would you bring her?!"
Archer nodded. "Finally! Everyone knows nothing good goes down in a wattpad book party!"
Aspen looked around worried. "Exactly, tell them what's up Aria!"
"Still none of your business, I'll keep a close eye on her." Reyland said and grabbed my arm.
"Let's go."
I paused and pulled on my arm. "Is this going to be like the kind of parties Peter used to throw?" I asked softly.
Reyland froze and turned his head to look at me. Anton stood where he was, watching with crossed arms.
"Shit, of course, what was I thinking." Reyland mumbled and looked at his watch. I tilted my head to the side.
"Nani?" I questioned.
Reyland sighs. "I can't take you to the party."
Archer grins. "So he does have common sense! Who knew!"
I bit my lip. "You wanted to go though, right?"
Anton intersects. "I'll take her home."
Reyland stared at him like he had just asked if it would be cool to go ballerina dancing across the field together. Naked and singing pop.
Anton quickly defends himself. "You were going to take her to a party full of creeps and wackjobs, let me give her a ride home."
Reyland stares at him. "Why the fuck would I trust you with my little sister?"
I crossed my arms. "So now I'm your sister."
Reyland faltered and glared at me. I looked away at the ground quickly.
Aspen raised his hand. "I trust him."
Archer snorts. "Cause you think he's hot."
Aspen blushed. "For other reasons too!"
Reyland turned to me. "Do what you want." He almost looked smug as he spoke, like he already knew the outcome of my next words.
"Sure." I said simply and skipped to Anton's side. Reyland blinked.
"You hate strangers though!"
I looked up at Anton. "When the ride is over, we won't be strangers anymore."
Anton flushed a light pink while Reyland sputtered.
Archer smirked. "Get it girl."
"But not too much!" Aspen added quickly.
Reyland glared at me. "Fine. See you later then."
I waved and looked at Anton.
"So, how long have you been able to see them?" Anton asked pointing a thumb up at my two ghosts.
I frowned. "I've always been able to see the supernatural. How come you can?"
Archer and Aspen looked at a loss for words as Anton and I walked forward.
"Don't know, I almost died a few years ago, and could see them ever since." He admitted.
Archer turned to Aspen. "Do we consider this guy another rival, or an alli?"
Aspen hesitated making Archer cross his arms. "And think with your head, not your dick."
Aspen turned red and Anton choked on air. I looked between the three of them and smiled.
I like having friends.
