Suddenly A Kitten

Chapter 18

"Everyone, this is Pink, my fairy godmother, she's the one who turned me into a cat." I explained as Pink sat in the palm of my hand.

Roman and Reagan were sitting on the couch as I stood in front of them, and Carrots was in a chair covering his nakedness with a blanket.

"Hello." Roman said shortly frowning at the tiny pink haired women.

Reagan hid behind his hands seeming unsure and confused.

"H-hi."

I smiled at his cuteness and paused.

"I'm going to talk to her in private for a moment, excuse me." I stomped off not waiting for them to answer as I went into the kitchen.

"What the hell were you thinking? Carrots? What was that about?!" I demanded.

Pink pushed her fingers together and hesitated.

"I know you want to stay here, that being around them makes you happy so..." I paled slightly.

"What are you saying? That if you hadn't done something crazy... " I trailed off.

Pink floated up into the air meeting my eyes.

"You would have left and they would have moved on with their lives. Sora... maybe you should leave, their going to break your heart."

I winced.

"So there's no chance they'll love me back?"

Pink frowned.

"Well... There is a chance..."

I swallowed.

"Will the next girl love them and take care of them as much as me?"

Pink looked down at her toes and shook her head sadly.

"No where near as much."

I smiled.

"Then I see no reason to leave yet."

Pink sighed heavily.

"I'll support you the best I can, now I have to go. I'll see you soon Sora." She disappeared leaving pink sparkles behind.

I ran a hand through my hair and went back to the living room.

Rowan looked over at me and frowned.

"They just explained what happened- hey are you okay?" He walked over and touched my cheeks.

"You look like you've been crying," I stepped back and forced a smile.

"I'm fine." I whispered and looked over at Carrots, who watched our interaction seeming fascinated.

"Well I'm off then, I have to go to work now." Rowan told everyone and glanced at his old pet seeming confused and worried.

"Bye Rowan, have fun." I told him and watched him walk off.

Roman wiped a hand over his face and looked at Carrots.

"You need clothes, stat."

Reagan gulped and stood from the couch.

"I- I'm g-going to my room for awhile." He ran out making me and Roman instantly glare at Carrots.

"Sora, help your friend here get something to wear." Roman ordered.

I pointed at myself.

"What? No way!" He glared.

"Do it. Now I'm going to go do something in my room." As Roman also walked away I looked over at the rainbow haired man.

"Follow me, and keep that blanket on!" Carrots nodded and walked behind me as I went into Rowan's room.
