Zada led the army of the dead up the ice mountain toward the castle of the Ice Men, feeling her journey to capture this Trisha girl was ending. The very people she had just tormented and left to suffer would be all too willing to give her the girl, the firestone, and anything else she needed. They would cower before her now and plead for her to free their children. She smiled to herself.
She looked to her right and found the Lich King staring at her, the same frozen scowl upon his leather face. Apparently he possessed no ability to look any other way, and the hatred for her flowed from his black eye sockets. "Your making me blush, handsome."
Suddenly a spinning portal in time and space opened up in front of them, and the Wraith Queen stood there, scowling. Zada's good mood was quickly disappearing thanks to those she hung around with.
"Report!" The Wraith Queen hissed.
"We are about to reach the castle of the Ice Men." Zada smiled, refusing to let even the Queen bring her down. "I'm sure they have captured the girl and will hand her over to me."
"Why so certain they will give her to you?" The Wraith Queen spit out, pacing back and forth within the portal.
Zada stopped smiling and scowled back. "Because they fear me!" She said between clenched teeth. "I tortured them recently and they will do whatever I want them to do!"
"They better!" The Wraith Queen walked up into the portal itself, scowling at her again. Her long black gown wiping out of the portal back and forth in the blowing wind and snow. She was only a couple of feet from Zada. Zada had had enough. Without hesitation, Zada grabbed the Queen and pulled her through. Miranda screamed as she fell through the portal, rolling down the frozen sloop of icy glacier snow. The portal vanished.
Zada turned and blasted the surprised Lich King with a massive fireball, putting all her strength into it. He flew back nearly twenty feet, his cape on fire. Then she bolted up the mountain toward the castle.
As she neared the castle gates, she veered to the rocky cliff to the right and pushed her way into a crack in the rock. It was a secret entrance she had learned of while torturing an Ice Man guard after she'd trapped the children on the other side of the lava river. The very entrance she had exited just a couple of weeks before.

Otzil and Trisha looked at one another when the guards came rushing up to report the Army of the Dead marching up the mountain. Otzil turned to his guards and was about to give the order to battle stations when he looked up and saw the lava tube ahead glowing red with heat. Then out stepped the Fire Slinger. The crowd of Ice People gasped all at once and retreated.
Zada's hands were blazing with fire and she smiled down upon Trisha, her own hands flaming with fire. She raised an eyebrow, realizing this girl had her power of fire. "So, we finally meet at last, Trisha." Her blond hair whipped in the cool breeze blowing up from where the lava river should have been. Zada's smile disappeared, and she noticed Otzil for the first time, the firestone hanging from his neck, just before she was struck by a cold burst of freezing light.
