It was high noon by the time they made it to the cooling fresh waters of the deep canyon creek. They hadn't expected to find a stream flowing to the desert, so they had elected to travel to the south side of the mountain, dropping into a thick evergreen forest canyon. Still high on the mountain, they saw the creek flowing down the canyon and were elated by their find. Especially Nate and Mike, who were feeling very dehydrated after the long run last night and the long hike down the mountain in the daytime heat. When they finally made it to the creek, both boys ran and dived into the water, Nate doing a somersault cannonball flip. Fluffy was right behind them, the girls screaming on his back.

The water was cold. The boys didn't care and drank hand fulls of the refreshing liquid. The girls however screamed and made their way out of the water in their drenched wet gowns to the grassy shore. Cursing Fluffy, who was having a ball in the water splashing around next to the boys. Then he dove underneath the water and came up with a large salmon.

"Yeah! Way to go Fluffy!" Nate praised him as Fluffy swam to the girls. He dropped the fish right on Crystal's lap who looked at it in disgust, her hands out to her sides not wanting to touch the flopping fish.

"Ew! It's all slimy!" She screamed. Then fluffy shook, and the girls screamed again.

Nate waded out of the creek and picked the flopping fish up off of Crystal's lap. "Awesome Fluffy! Now we have lunch." He went to find some wood for a fire.

Crystal and Trisha looked at each other through long drenched strands of hair, sitting in soaked dresses and frowned at one another. Boys were so infuriating sometimes!

"If we were in the Real World, I'd be really mad." Crystal said looking at herself. Instantly, she was in a short dry flower print sundress. Trisha did the same except going with an ankle long white silky smooth sundress. Unfortunately, their hair would have to dry in the sun.

Mike waded out of the water in his clinging wet cloths. His wet grey t-shirt stuck to his muscular chest and six-pack abs. Trisha's eyes widened, and she felt her body temperature immediately rise. She was no longer cold from the icy water. She couldn't help but admire his beautiful body, that is until, to her great disappointment, he changed into dry jeans and a blue t-shirt. Then he went to help Nate gather firewood. She felt her heart sink at the lack of attention he gave her. She got to her feet and walked away, needing some time alone. Crystal did not stop her, she knew exactly how Trisha was feeling. She was feeling it herself.

Trisha walked up the creek bank deep in thought wondering how Mike really felt about her. A blue flower was growing on the bank. She kneeled and picked it and found a log to sit on that had fallen into the water. To add to her depression it began to sprinkle. She didn't care. Picking the peddles from the flower she dropped them into the stream and watched them slowly float away. She thought about the lake and the magical kiss, about his muscular body pressed up against hers. How he rescued her from the Verdak, and the Wraith Queen, and how much he worried about her safety. She had this knot inside her chest when she thought about Mike, never had she felt this way about anyone before. It was so new, so powerful.
