He stopped the show and turned to look at her, "Are you just going to stare at me, or are we going to train?"
"Bruh, you can't look like that and expect me not to stare. Have you seen yourself?"
Jin scoffed, "I'm Worldwide Handsome, I'll have you know, so yes, I know I'm hot. But now it's time to train." He tossed her the staff he was using and grabbed the other one off the ground.
Tavi got the staff and just looked at it; it was beautiful. It looked a lot like the chopstick he gave her for her hair. She was so busy admiring it that she didn't even notice he was stalking her until it was too late.
He hit her on the left side near her ribs, not hard but enough to snap her out of the trance. Tavi whipped around and glared at him, "Oh, you'll pay for that, Jinnie." He swung at her again, but she did a backflip and was out of his reach; she crooked her finger at him and gave him a cheeky grin. "Come and get me handsome."
He swung the staff behind him, and they stalked each other around the mat in a circle. They charged simultaneously; she went to go low, but somehow, he knew that's what she would do. So he went low, too, hooked his staff under her legs, and flipped her over onto her back. He knocked the air out of her; when he stood above her, ready to strike, she swept her legs, and down Worldwide Handsome went. "Oh, how the mighty have fallen."
He glared at her, "Play fair, Tavi."
She shrugged her shoulder, "All's fair in love and war, Jinnie Pooh."
He snorted and lifted his arm a bit to rest on his elbows. " How do you like that staff? Is the weight and length okay?"
Tavi looked at the staff in her hand and spun it around a few times. It was the perfect weight and height for her build—almost like it was made for her. She looked at Jin, and he nodded his head just a smidge. "You had this made for me; why?"
"Because I'm not letting my girlfriend go out to fight demons without a weapon."
She smiled and pointed to all the staff hanging on the wall: "There's like 50 right over there."
"They aren't good enough; you needed one made for you."
He had to be the sweetest man alive, not that she would tell him that. His head is big enough already. "Thank you, Jin, I appreciate it."
"Are you hungry? We should eat something."
Her stomach growled loudly in response, "Apparently, I am."
"Come on, let's get you something to eat." Everyone was there when they walked into the dining room. They grabbed food, and she went to sit in between Jimin and Jungkook; Jin started to pout, but she ignored him.
"Jimin, after lunch, can we practice with seraph blades? I'm determined to last longer than 30 seconds."
He swallowed his food and nodded his head, "I mean, if you want me to kick your ass for the 100th time, sure, I'm down."
Tavi booped his nose, "You can only kick my ass if I don't have my staff, and you know it."
They finished their food quickly; she was determined to hold her own this time. She hopped back and forth on her feet, trying to warm up. "Ready to lose Tavi?"
She turned around, "it's not losing; it's learning how to defeat you."
He snorted and threw her a blade. He stalked around the mat in a circle, looking at her like he was a tiger and she was a gazelle. He lunged at her, and she rolled. He anticipated that, and when she rolled, he swung backward and smacked her in the back of the head with the flat blade. "Ouch, that hurt Jimin."
