Church glared at her, and she raised her hands in surrender. "Sorry, I'm just giving you a hard time."
"The kid went into that restaurant; I didn't follow. I wasn't trying to become the main dish."
Jin looked like he was going to murder Church, "I know you are old and a cat, but knock it off with the racist comments."
"Take this voice away, Magnus; you know I hate talking."
Magnus grinned, "I will, but not yet. First, we have to find Bellamy, and we need your help. Plus, having an immortal cat that speaks will come in handy. When all this is over, I promise to remove it."
"Could you at least give me back my real voice?"
Magnus frowned, "You don't have a real voice. The one I used last time was actually from an actor I saw in a movie."
"Well, it sounded better than this."
Magnus mumbled that he'd never give him back the other voice; hearing a cat speak like the Godfather was slightly terrifying.
Grant asked if they'd stay until they got Bellamy back safely, and they all agreed. So they set about making the rescue plan. The entire time Magnus kept watching Tavi, it made her nervous, and honestly, it made Jin nervous. He rarely left her side.
They were spread across the library in groups, trying to figure out what to do. "I got it." Tavi stood up and walked towards the fireplace. "Jimin, do you want to go eat some Chinese with me?"
He shrugged his shoulders, "Sure," but he looked confused. Jin was behind her growling.
"Great," she clapped her hands and looked at the others. "So Jimin and I are going to get dressed like a couple out on a date, go to the restaurant, and do some recon."
"But why does Jimin need to go? I'm your boyfriend; I should go." He was whining and pouting big time.
Tavi turned around and looked at him. She held up three fingers. "1, Jimin is the only one of you who can pass for a. What do you call it?"
"A Mundane."
She kissed his nose, "Yup, that's it. Jimin is the only one who can pass for mundane. 2. What's his title here?"
"Weapons Master."
She kissed his nose again, "Exactly. He's the weapons master, so he's uniquely made for this mission. And 3, what is your weapon?"
He sighed, "The bow."
"And does a bow and arrow belong in a restaurant?"
His shoulders dropped, "no, it doesn't.
"So Jimin and I will go in, and your sexy ass will be across the street on the roof with your bow and arrow, making sure I don't get a new scar! Sounds good?"
He grumbled, but he agreed. Magnus turned to look at his boyfriend. "Why does that never work on you when I try it?"
The grumpy guy just snorted.
Tavi turned to look at Jimin, "Come on, let's get you dressed!"
"I should honestly go with you guys?"
She turned around and looked at Magnus, "As much as I love two guys at once, you stand out like a sore thumb. So no." She could tell that he wasn't used to hearing that from someone.
But he smiled at her, "But I'm the only one that speaks Mandarin."
She placed her hands on her hips, "And I can call you and wear an earbud. You'll be able to hear everything and translate it for me."
