CHERYL's POINT OF VIEW
The next morning;

"Mommy, when are you coming back?" Dana asked as she stared up at me while I looked through my headshot files on the kitchen island.

"Mommy will be back in two days. Okay?" I said as I tried to focus on making sure everything was there file wise that I would need for this trip.

"Why are you going?" Dana asked randomly.

"Mommy has to work. A business trip." I said as I finally looked down at her. "I'm going to miss you a lot, you know that?" I told her with a smile.

She smiled up at me and grabbed my left hand. "Im going to miss you too.." she said with pure love.

If anything, I knew that if my days were cloudy, my baby knew how to make the sun shine a little brighter. She was my happiness.

"I love you, okay? Always know that Mommy loves you no matter what." I said as I then picked her up and sat her down on the island to where we could be face to face.

"I love you too," she responded.

"Tell me something, okay?" I said as I grabbed both of her hands and stared into her small, brown and hopeful eyes. "Would you rather stay with Mommy most of the time or Daddy?" I asked.

She stared at me and rubbed her little lips together as she thought to herself. "Uhmmm..." she said as she then formed a big smile. "You," she revealed as she removed her right hand from my own and reached up to touch the side of my face with it.

"You want to stay with Mommy most of the time?" I asked smiling.

She nodded her head and rubbed the very side of my face. "Yes."

I nodded my head and then, leaned in to give her a tight hug.

During the hug, I heard someone knocking on the front door. I furrowed my eyebrows, pulled out of the hug with Dana and picked her up off the island to place her on her feet.

"I wonder who that could be. Stay here, okay?" I told Dana.

Dana nodded her head and watched me walk away.

Once I made it to the door, I opened it and saw Tony standing there. He held a straight face.

"Tony.....what are you—" I asked but he stepped in and cut me off.

"I texted Ciyle to see what time I should pick them up but he said that you were going to take them to your moms. That wasn't the agreement, Cheryl," Tony proceeded.

All while closing the door, I sighed. "Tony, I didn't think it was such a big deal. Dana wanted to see her grandma and so, I thought it would be fine."

"Yeah, but you could've at least told me, maybe?"

"Tony," I said as I faced him. "It's not that big of a deal..."
