Cheryl's Point Of View
Location: Hospital;I stood next to the hospital bed looking down at Shemar. I knew that he was okay but the fact that he was in this position is what left me heartbroken. The things he went through all because of me. I should've known that Trey would've tried his best to get to me...to us when we refused to listen to his orders.
Now I know that he wasn't playing whenever he said that he was the boss.
After leaving the hotel, I noticed that nobody heard me scream. And that's what I've been trying my hardest to piece together. How come nobody heard me scream?
Knowing him, he probably paid people to keep their mouth shut. I wish I never met that selfish ass of a man. He was always known to take and never give. It was all about what he wanted and how he wanted it.
What he tells you to do, he expects you to do it the moment he asks of you to do it.
That's something that I'm happy I got out of but then again, I feel like I'm still in it because look at where I am- unable to shake him off of me.
I reached down and grabbed Shemar's hand. I watched as he eyebrow furrowed.
I knew soon he would wake up. He just needed some rest and gladly, they had it to where patches were where they needed to be.
"Ms. Cheryl," I then heard someone say. I quickly looked up and saw that it was the doctor. "May I speak with you?" He asked.
I nodded my head and gently let Shemar's hand go.
As I walked over towards the doctor, he smiled at me and his fingertips tapped against the back of the clipboard present in his hands.
"Yes sir?" I spoke up as I stood still in front of him.
"So, everything is looking good. He just needed some fluids and to get patched up. His face should be fine by the end of tonight pain wise but he's gonna have to continue putting those strips over the cuts he has by the cheekbones. Good news..."
I smiled. "I like good news..."
"His ribs aren't broke. Just bruised a bit. He should be able to get released tomorrow morning after he wakes up. If anything, I would just let him rest and have no want of waking him up. And uh...may I ask you something?"
"What's that?"
"How did all of this happen to him?" He asked me as he peeked over towards Shemar. I looked back at him as well.
"Uhm...we had went out earlier and some guy was talking about me. Then, it led to the both of them getting physical. Overall, the man ran away after Shemar basically...lost." I told him. The lie burned my tongue but I had to do what I had to do...
"Wow. I think that we should file a police report. Do you remember what the man looked like?" He asked me.
I parted my lips and stared at the doctor. "Uhm, no...I-...I don't. But I don't think we should do that. We don't wanna go through that long process..."
"You sure, Cheryl? I mean, Shemar was hurt pretty bad..."
I nodded my head. "No-...No, it's okay. No need."
