We split up and decided to scour the alley and hopefully find our lost friend. I went with Percy and checked all the stores we could.
"Excuse me?" I asked to an old looking shop keeper. "A boy hasn't appeared here via Floo powder, has he?" They shook their head and I sighed.
"Thank you for your time." I ducked back out the door and the Griffindor prefect stood looking hopeful.
"Well?" He chirped.
"Nothing, no one's seen him." I sighed and shuffled my bag on my shoulder.
"Right maybe we should go meet up with the others." He nodded towards a large crowded bookshop, who's sign read "Flourish and Botts" I nodded and we made our way to the rest of the Weasleys.
"Any sign?" Mr Weasley asked as we approached him, Fred and George.
"Nothing, Dad. No one's seen him." Percy shook his head and I took a seat at the table they were all crowded around. Scanning over the group, I noticed something.
"Where's Mrs Weasley?" I scanned the shop but to no avail.
"In there somewhere, some posh book writer, or something's, doing a book signing. Ginny's with her and Ron." Arthur smiled. I nodded to the bored looking man and began to make my way through the crowd. Until I bumped into someone.
"Anna, dear." Molly greeted, pulling me in front of her to protect me from the bustling crowd.
"Any luck?" She whispered into my ear.
"Nope. Not a thing." I replied and I felt her sigh in frustration.
"Not to worry, I'm sure he won't be far." I smile at her optimism, we stood for another few minutes and glanced to my left.
"Harry!" I squealed, locking my arms on his neck. Around us whispers of "Harry", "Harry Potter" broke out.
"Oh, Harry! Thank goodness!" Mrs Weasley, greeted placing her hand on his shoulder, as I released him. I looked behind him and smiled.
"Hermione!" I cried and squeezed past my fellow Griffindor to hug her.
"Anna!" We embraced and laughed as we released each other and both began to babble on about our holidays. When a cheer suddenly halted us both.
"Ladies and gentlemen." An old looking man announced as the crowd fell quiet.
"Mr Gilderoy Lockhart." Th crowd began to bustled and cheer as a man with curled brown hair and a shocking smile, came from a curtained area at the back of the shop. Molly straightened her hair and smiled at the man, pushing Ron out from in front of her. I turned to Hermione who was also sighing at the creepy book writer.
"Who's he?" I asked and she turned to me in shock.
"That Gilderoy Lockhart. Adventurer, he writes about his amazing encounters with dark creatures. There fascinating." I looked back at the pompous looking man,
"Him?" She scowled at me and clutched a book to her chest. I felt my lip rise in disgust at the overly flashy clothes and perfectly groomed hair. No way is he an "Adventurer" me and Harry hfoam countered the darkest creatureand of all once and we were still covered in scabs and scars. He just looked to...Perfect. There was no way he could have had multiple meetings with "Dark" creatures and not have a scratch. Ron turned to Harry a whined
"Why is it as soon as he appears all the girls turn to mush?" Harry smiled and shook his head.
"Hey, I haven't." I joked nudging Ron in his side. He turned to me and shrugged.
