I stayed silent as I slid down the circular shoot, I could see Fawkes hurtling after me, his golden eyes trained upon my being. He over took me, flapping his wing and gaining stepped as he rocketed out of the end of the shoot. I fell on to the strange snapping floor, to dark to see I quickly pointing my wand to the ground.

"Lumos." I whispered in the eerily quiet tunnel. The end of my wand glowed brightly and I scrambled quickly to my feet. Hundred of skeletons lay under me feet, many belonging to small animals and birds. I jumped slightly when Fawkes landing on my shoulder, he studied the remains also. When a suddenly noise caught our attention, like rocks smashing together and rolling. I pointed my wand in the direction of the destructive noise and began to walk. The crunching of bones beneath my feet sent shivers up my spine, as I trudged on further into the unknown. I stuck close to the walls in an attempt so stay hidden, should anything come round the corner. As I closed in upon the noise it now became more distinct. Rolling rocks and muttered curses, I a very familiar voice. Peeking round the corner I let out a gasp of relief.

"Ron?" My voice echoed round the underground cavern rumbling the instead walls.

"Anna?" The redhead knelt upon a huge mount of rocks, his face was dusty and smeared with sweat and dirt. I scanned the sank area and raised an eyebrow at the unconscious form of Professor Lockhart.

"What happened to him?" I asked and Ron shook his head.

"It's a long story. What with the bird?"

"Long story." He seemed them, however to regain his bearings.

"What are you doing here? I thought  Harry told you to go back to the a common room."

"He did." I smirked, "but when do I ever do as I'm told?" I smiled and took another glance around, looking for m spectacled friend. My smile dropped as I noticed his absence.

"Ron, where is Harry?" I watched as his eyes flickered towards the huge amount of falling rocks.

"Please tell me he's not underneath that." I pointed to the pile of dust and rubble.

"No, but he on the other side. He went to find Ginny."

"By himself!" I quickly began to scrape and the rock trying desperately to drag away some rubble so I could climb through. Pulling one of the larger rocks the whole pile shifted slightly, leaving a sliver of an opening. An idea suddenly struck me.

"Fawkes!" I called to the hovering bird, he had jumped from my shoulder when I had thrown myself to the floor. He swooped down to stand in front of me.

"Can you fit through there?" I asked and the bird obediently squeezed through the small gap, before turning round for further instructions.

"Take this..." I said passing through the Sorting hat. "...to Harry and then come back. I'll try and find a way around." He grasped the hat in his talons, before taking off down the tunnel.

"Ron, can you stay here and keep working in this? In going to look for another way through." He nodded, scratching with raw fingers at the sharp stone. I took a deep breath before heading back down the tunnel.

"Anna?" I turned, Ron stood his eyes scared and his shoulders slumped.

"Be careful." I smiled, even in difficult times we still managed to worry about each other.

"You too."  It reminded me if my conversation with Harry. Harry, the thought of my friend urged me on and I quickly ran off into a different tunnel, my wand lighting my way.

I ran for what seemed like hours, but was more likely a few minutes, when suddenly...light. I entered a huge cave like chamber, on the opposite wall was a door. It was circular in shape and upon it seven coiled snakes.
