Shayne's focus when they get home is singular, almost immediately trudging upstairs and faceplanting into their bed without shifting the covers.

"Feeling a little rough, baby?" Courtney asks, a little teasing, when she enters the room behind him to set her own small bag of things she'd taken to the hotel down.

"Mmph," he mumbles a non-response, reaching for this pillow to shove his face into.

"You want cuddles?" she asks. He gives an affirmative grunt, Courtney laughing softly as she pulls off her shoes and shifts up onto the bed to pull him against her. He falls asleep quickly, and she's not far behind him as they fall into napping away the earlier half of their afternoon.

He's surprised when he is the first of them to wake up, finding Courtney fast asleep on top of the covers and with her face buried in the crook of his neck. He is surprised, too, when he opens his eyes and shifts around as much as he can without waking her but feels largely fine, only the faintest hint of a headache still sitting in the back of his mind. He'll take the significant reduction in hangover symptoms happily, though, and he lets his mind start wandering through a mental list of things they need to do in the next week.

They have a full week of work – no Goldbergs, but Smosh has a week almost evenly split between filming days and days of meetings – and, amongst it all, there's the bits and pieces of wedding prep. Shayne has to have a final suit fitting to make sure it's absolutely perfect, and he's pretty sure Courtney has the same with her dress. Plus, they need to do all the final tick-offs of everything, although their wedding party is helping share the load in that space, and they have to get ready for their honeymoon given they are flying out of LA early the morning after the wedding.

Courtney starts shifting slightly as she wakes, head moving away from him although her body presses closer. The movement sends Shayne's wedding musing in a different direction, quickly remembering that he has to find a time to give her that little gift via his mother.

"Whatcha thinking about, baby?" Courtney asks, when she shifts around to see him looking distractedly up at the ceiling.

"Just going over everything we gotta do before next weekend," he replies, shifting to his side so he can look at her more easily, "it's gonna be a big week."

"It is, and I don't know how I'm going to keep my excitement tamed at work," Courtney admits, "we're actually getting married, dude."

Shayne laughs at her enthusiasm – although she knows he feels exactly the same – and slowly shifts up off the bed to move over to their dresser and search for the small jewellery box his mother had given him. Courtney is sitting up on the bed, cross-legged, when he turns back to face her, and he clambers back onto the bed to sit across from her, too.

"What you got there?" she asks, raising an eyebrow in intrigue.

"So... something for you," Shayne starts, holding out the jewellery box and allowing her to take it. Courtney does just that, opening it and looking at the pendant inside when she does, before glancing back up to meet Shayne's eyes as he continues. "There was a ring passed down through my Mum's family since my great-grandfather gave it to my great-grandmother, it had three sapphires in it. Mum wore it when I was younger, but it was very delicate and outdated so she had it remade into three separate pieces, because she had three kids. And... when she asked me to go out to their place the other week, it was to give me this, because you're absolutely the person she wants to have it given to."

"It's so gorgeous," Courtney replies, softly, taking the pendant out of the box to turn in her hands, "thank you. And I'll have to thank Dianne too."

"Other than the sentimental thing – she also offered it as a like... I don't even know if you've thought about it, but that old good luck rhyme, the something old, new, borrowed and blue? It could be both the old and the blue," Shayne muses.
