Allison

I plopped down on the couch, and pulled out my phone.
"Hey guys? Andy just text me and asked if her and Vic could come over."
"Tell them yeah. We'll order them food too." Carina said.
I felt my phone vibrate, and I checked the message.

Page: That's so cool! I'd love to come and see it one day!
Me: Want me to ask my sister if you can come after school with me tomorrow?
Page: Hell yeah! I'll ask my Mom.

"Hey Maya? Can Page come to the station with me after school tomorrow? She wants to see everything."
"As long as her Mom says yes, and she has a ride home." Maya said.

Me: My sister said yes!
Page: My Mom said yes too!
Me: I can't wait. It's gonna be so fun.
Page: Me either cutie 😘

"Awesome." I whispered to myself.
"Did you say something farfalla?"
"No." I quickly said.

We heard a knock on the door, "I got it!" I quickly ran over to the door.
"Hey mini Bishop!" Andy hugged my tightly.
"Hey Tia. Hi Auntie!" I hugged Vic next.
"Hey sweetie." Vic said with a small smile.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing baby girl. Don't worry about it." She squeezed my shoulder.

"Hey guys. Carina just ordered Chinese." Maya said as she handed Vic and Andy beers.
"We need to tell you something." Vic said abruptly.
"Okay? Is everything okay?" Maya asked.
"Uh yeah. We-We... um Andy and I-"
"Vic and I are dating." Andy finished Vic's sentence.
"You owe me twenty dollars Maya." I said as I walked by them to go to the fridge.
"You two bet on us?" Vic asked.
"I bet that you two would announce you were dating within two weeks. Maya said two months." I said as I grabbed a water bottle.
"You brats! You knew?" Andy laughed.
"I knew first." I leaned against the counter.
"H-How? We've been hiding it so carefully." Vic asked.

"Andy can't keep her eyes off of you at work. She's always staring at your ass-"
"Allison! Language!" Carina and Maya said at the same time.
"Sorry! Andy's always staring at your butt." I shrugged.

"So... are we in trouble?" Andy asked.
"No. Of course not. Just don't let it interfere with work." Maya said.
"Congratulations on coming out. Cheers to that." Carina said with a smile.
"Cheers to a room full of lady lovers!" I said with a grin.
"Allison!" Everyone said with a laugh.

*The next day after school*

"Hey cutie." Page said as she walked up.
"Hey! You ready to go to the station? It's just a short walk from here."
"Definitely."

We walked to the station, talking about our day as we went.
"Hey Jack!" I said as we walked in.
"Hey mini Bishop! How was school?" We fist bumped.
"Good. This is Page. Page, this is Jack Gibson."
"It's really nice to meet you." Page said with a smile.
"Come on. Let's go find Maya." We walked upstairs to the kitchen.
"Mini Bishop!" Vic shouted as we walked in.
"Hey Auntie Vic. This is Page. Page, this is Vic Hughes."
"Uh what about me? Your favorite Tia?"
"And this is Andy Herrera."
"You two are so bad ass. I hardly ever see any female fire fighters!" Page said excitedly.
"Hey kid! How was school?" Maya said as she walked in.
"It was good. Maya, this is Page. Page, this is my sister Maya Bishop."
"Nice to meet you Page. Do you have any homework Allison?"
"Nope. Finished it in school again."
"Awesome. Do you wanna take Page down to see the trucks?"
"Sure. Are you taking me home tonight or is Carina?"
"Carina's picking you up. We have to work a late shift."
"Gotcha. We'll come back up in a bit."

I led Page down to the garage.
"Whoa." She said as we walked in.
"That's obviously the fire truck, and that's the Aid Car. There's not much to see here, but I like it. It's calming to me."
"What do you do here? You said you were helping them out?" Page asked.
"Yesterday I was helping Andy check the hoses, making sure they didn't have any holes in them. She showed me how to patch them up if they did. I work out with them on the weekends, and help them get the trucks ready in case there's a call."

"That's so bad ass." She said.
"Wanna climb up on the truck? That's where I usually go when I'm bored."

I led her up to the top, and we laid down to stare at the ceiling.
"This is super cool. Thanks for inviting me." Page smiled at me.
"I'm glad you came."

She reached over and took my hand, squeezing it a little bit.
"Do you mind me asking... what happened to your Mom and Dad?" She asked quietly.
"Uh... it was a bad situation. My Dad kicked me out because I told him that I'm gay." I felt a tear rolling down my face as I kept staring at the ceiling.
"Hey, don't cry. Please?" She scooted closer to me and wiped the tear away with her thumb.
"I'm sorry. I don't even know why I'm crying." I said with a small laugh.
"I mean, I don't miss them. They were abusive. I'm so much happier at Maya and Carina's. I'm safer. I feel like I have a family for the first time."
"I'm glad you're okay. And I'm glad you're here." She cupped my face with her free hand.

"I'm glad I'm here too." I whispered.

Page leaned down, and gently pressed her lips against mine.
I felt fireworks. I know that's what everyone says, but I felt actual fire works.
I smiled into the kiss, and pulled her closer.

"That was... wow." She whispered against my lips.
"Yeah. Wow." I said with a smile.

Page looked at her phone. "Shit. My Mom just text me. She's here." We sat up, and got off the fire truck.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow?"
"Of course." She leaned over and gave me a quick peck on the lips, and walked outside.

I stood there for a second.
"Yes!" I cheered.
