Chapter Nineteen

Allison

"Good job today interns. I'm headed home for a few days. Try to not kill anyone while I'm gone." I said as Amelia walked up to me and my group.
"Oh Allison be nice. They're good students."
"Ha. Okay. Make me proud guys, and maybe I'll let you all watch some surgeries when I get back."
"Bye Doctor Deluca-Bishop!" They called as Amelia and I walked away.

"They like you." Amelia said as we walked to my car.
"Wasn't supposed to happen, but that'll work." I opened the passenger side for her, and she got in.

*At the station*

"There's my favorite doctor/fire fighter." Ben said as we walked in.
"Hey Ben." We high-fived and hugged. 
"How was your first day of bossing everyone around?" He asked.
"Great. My interns like me, but they're scared of me."
"Ah. My little Bailey Junior." He said lovingly.
"How's work going going for you Amelia?"
"Great sir. I'm loving being a fellow."
"Good. I think everyone's upstairs if you wanna say hi."
"Yeah we're just stopping by before going on our mini trip." I led Amelia up the stairs, and we walked into the kitchen.

"Hi Mijas! How are my favorite girls!" Andy came up and hugged us both.
"We're good Tia. Just saying hi and bye before we go on our anniversary trip."
"I never thought I'd see the day where my sister had an anniversary." Maya joked as she walked in.

"Hey sis."
"Hey Maya!" Amelia said cheerfully.

"I still don't know how you got her Allison. She's all bright and shiny, you're all dark and twisty." Travis joked.
"Hey! I'm not dark and twisty." I pouted.
"It's okay babe. I love you, dark, twisty and all." Amelia squeezed my hand.

"How was your first day in charge of interns?" Jack asked.
"Great. I absolutely love it. I miss working at the station a lot though. I wish I could work more."
"You can. Just come back to our side." Vic said with a laugh.
"You know I can't do that. I love doing both. And I'm starting a research on some new theories. I can't just stop in the middle of everything."
"I know, I know. We just miss you around here Ali." Vic elbowed my side gently.
"I miss you all. But Amy and I are gonna get going, we love you guys."

We said our goodbyes, walked outside and got back in the car.
"I love your family." She said with a smile.
"I do too. And they love you." I leaned over and gave her a kiss.
"Happy second anniversary babe."
"Happy second anniversary my love."
