Chapter Ten

Allison

"Of course I do!" I grabbed them both in a hug, tears rolling down my face.
Everyone started clapping and cheering.

"I love you guys." I sniffled out.
"We love you too farfalla." Carina said with a smile.

"You know what that means?" Jack asked.
"Fire house baby!" Dean shouted.

"This is the absolute best birthday ever."

*A week later*

"Carina! Maya! It's adoption day!" I burst into their bedroom.
"Farfalla, it's five in the morning." Carina groaned.
"Oh come on! Today's the day you get stuck with me forever!" I said excitedly as I sat two coffees down on the night stand.
Maya reached out, and pulled me into the bed.
"Come on. Five more minuets." She said as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Don't you wanna go for our morning run?" I asked.
"I'm tired." She groaned.

"I wonder why. I could hear you two all night."
"Allison!" Carina tapped the side of my hip.
"Sorry! Come on guys, please? I wanna get breakfast. I've been saving money up from the odd jobs around the neighborhood. I want to do something for you two." I dragged Maya into a sitting up position.

"Is this what it's like with a toddler? I feel like we have a toddler." Maya said as she grabbed her coffee.
"She's definitely your sister." Carina joked.

*Two hours later, at the court house*

"Carina Deluca, Maya Bishop, and Allison Bishop?" The judge called out.

We stood up and walked to the front.
"I understand that you two ladies, want to adopt Allison Bishop." She said.
"Yes your honor. Allison is my little sister. We found each other almost five months ago, and we don't want her going to anyone else. She's family." Maya said.
"Allison. Are you happy living with Doctor Deluca and Captain Bishop?" The judge asked me.

"Yes your honor. They're the family I've always wanted. Since day one, they took me in with no questions. They got me new clothes when I had none. They got me into an amazing school. They've helped me realize my worth. That I'm worth it. They're amazing people, and amazing parents. They're the parents that I've always wanted, and needed in my life."

"Well, I don't see why this adoption can't go through. I just need Doctor Deluca and Captain Bishop to sign this paper for me." She slid papers across her podium.

Carina and Maya signed them, and handed her the papers back.
"Alright Allison. One last question. Do you want to keep your name, or do you want to change it?"

I looked at Carina and Maya, "Allison Deluca-Bishop?"
"I like the sound of that." Carina said with a smile.

"Okay. Then I declare it official. Congratulations Allison Deluca-Bishop. You're adopted."

We grabbed each other's hands, and walked outside.
Our friends cheered and clapped as we walked outside.
"Congratulations Allison! I'm so happy for you." Page said, giving me a hug.
"Thank you babe." I kissed her forehead.

"Congratulations mija! I'm so excited." Andy ran over and gave me a hug.
"Me too. I'm officially Allison Deluca-Bishop." I said with a smile.

"Mini Bishop! Get with Carina and Maya, let me take some pictures." Vic said.

I stood in between them, and we all smiled as Vic took pictures.

"Maya, Carina?" I said.
"Sì farfalla?"
"I really love you guys."

"We love you too kid." Maya kissed my cheek.
