Chapter 13: Broken

3rd POV:

The night and the next day bled together as the next day quickly arrived far too quickly in Izuku's opinion but who was he kidding as the entire team that went out on that nightmare-inducing mission arrived back at the compound only about one hour before it was time for Izuku to normally head to school for the day. Butler Leon had said he was going to call the school and let them have Izuku be excused for the day as he would claim some family emergency or something on those lines but Izuku didn't allow the man to do that. Instead, Izuku wanted to be away... the farthest away he could be without causing issues from Rage and for the longest amount of time so going to school was something he needed to do otherwise Izuku felt he would end up doing something impulsive like trying to kill Rage due to the events of last night where Rage had Izuku use his quirk to torture a group of individuals from the trivial organization. After some back and forth between Izuku and the butler, Butler Leon relented and told Izuku to alert him if Izuku wanted to return home at any time during the day. Now that entire statement out of Butler Leon's mouth made Izuku's stomach twist and he felt like he wanted to throw up so badly at the idea that this compound was his home. A home is where you are meant to feel safe and while on a day to day basis he felt relativity calm and not in direct danger he knew the compound wasn't 'safe' in his mind as it was a death sentence waiting to happen one day in the future if he did something wrong or Rage got paranoid about keeping Izuku alive anymore.

Anyway, Izuku nodded his head at Butler Leon's statement before he went up to his room and grabbed all of the things he would need for school and once he finished getting the things he headed outside and waited for the driver who pulled up a few minutes after he stepped outside. Izuku would have rather taken the train to the school instead of being taken by the driver since he stopped going by the family car after about a month of using it since he enjoyed the time alone on the train before he had to get to school or return to the compound but today he would be cutting it really close if he decided to take the train since the next train from the nearest station didn't leave for another 15 minutes and the ride takes about 25 minutes so if there were any delays he would have been cutting it extremely close since there are only about 50 minutes left before the school starts.

As Izuku rode in the car, Izuku just pushed out all of the dark thoughts that have been building up in his mind since the events from last night to the back of his mind even though he knew it was completely unhealthy to do things like that but he didn't really have a choice. There was no way in hell that Izuku was going to allow himself to break down or show emotions in front of the drive or back at the compound because he truly doubts he has true privacy in his own bedroom since it belonged to the family. Izuku would not put it past Rage or someone else in the family to bug his room in the event that Izuku was ever wanting to plan against the family to try and gain his freedom. As such, Izuku had no real good place for him to break down without worrying about his mask breaking in front of people that would use the moment of weakness against him so he just kept pushing the emotions to the side as they kept appearing again and again.

The driver finally arrived outside of the school gates and opened the door for Izuku to get out as the man would always do when Izuku used the car. As Izuku excited out of the vehicle he felt his blood go cold if it truly could but sadly for him that was only a statement of how he felt at that second as when he exited the car he saw that his duo of friends were both standing just inside of the gates for the school which was a large issue due to the fact that the corona family driver was still around! As such, Izuku quickly moved without raising any red flags from the driver and walked towards the gate as he didn't even glance again at the duo who looked confused by Izuku's actions since he always headed straight for them when they met up in the mornings closer to the building but today they had decided to wait at the gates since Izuku wasn't on time like normal. Izuku instead of coming towards them choose to ignore them but they didn't call out for him though, instead, they decided to follow behind him as they acted as if it was time for them to get inside of the school instead of hanging out at the gates as neither of them felt like Izuku was acting normally so they wanted to see what he would do once they were in the privacy of the school away from outside eyes.
