"Are any of you able to walk (L/n)-san home? She just moved here, and I don't want her to get lost." Sugawara said to the team members that were still in the gym. They turned to look at me. I smiled shyly at them. I was feeling uncomfortable with all of them looking at me all at once.
"Why can't you take her home?" One of them asked. I felt kind of bad that I didn't know his name. I'll have to ask him when everyone isn't staring at me.
"I have to go home and help my mom with my brother." Suga answered, his smile faltering a little.
"I can do it." Yamaguchi spoke up. He rubbed the nape of his neck as he spoke.
"I mean, I was the one who invited her to watch practice. It would be rude if I didn't follow through on the invitation." His voice dropped towards the end. He seemed so unsure of himself, looking at me as if he thought I would refuse.
I held out my hand out, giving him a thumbs up.
"Thank you, Yamaguchi." Sugawara said, turning back in my direction. He smiled down at me.
"It's all settled now (L/n)-chan. Now I won't have to worry about you getting lost." He ruffled my hair like I was a little kid. A few pieces of my (h/c) (h/l) hair moved in front of my face in the process. I puffed out some hair, blowing the hair off my face. I grabbed my phone and typed. At this point Sugawara was already reading, understanding what I was doing.
Thank you Sugawara-senpai, you didn't have to do this for me.
He chuckled at me. "Of course, I did. What kind of senpai would I be if I didn't make sure you could get home safely?" He reached out and booped my nose, he then leaned down so he was eye level with me.
"You can just call me Suga, (L/n)-chan." He let out another laugh when he saw the surprise on my face.
Then you can call me (F/n). It's only fair, Suga-senpai.
"In that case (F/n), be safe on your way home." He waved as he walked away from me. I waved back then pulled my books to my chest as I faced Yamaguchi.
"Do you mind waiting a few more minutes so I can change?" He asked me.
I shook my head and he smiled at me.
"I'll change quickly so you don't have to wait very long." With that, he quickly rushed out of the gym to change. I looked around at the other boys, suddenly feeling very self-conscious that they were all still looking at me. I shuffled my feet a bit, hoping to ease the nervousness I was feeling.
"No fair! I wanted to walk (L/n)-chan home!" Tanaka all but wailed. I looked over at him. Both he and Nishinoya were standing together, looking distraught.
"Me too." Nishinoya agreed, his figure slumping some. Even his hair looked sad. I didn't even know that that was possible.
"Both of you need to stop complaining." Daichi scolded, walking over to them.
"She doesn't need you two hanging all over her like you do Kiyoko." He shot them a glare. He wasn't leaving any room for debate. They both grumbled out responses that I couldn't hear. I didn't want to make them any more upset, so I turned and left the gym. I figured that it would be easier to wait outside. Plus, then Yamaguchi wouldn't need to come back into the gym to find me.
I leaned against the wall. I sighed, closing my eyes. This was a lot of excitement for one day. It was only my second day here and I felt exhausted. I wasn't used to being around this many people all at once. My social battery had to be pretty depleted at this point.
"(L/n)-san!"
I opened my eyes to see Hinata running until he was in front of me. Somehow, he still had all the energy left in the world. Even after a straining practice, he was bouncing around.
