I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face. I didn't have any nightmares. I was actually was able to sleep peacefully. It was a great feeling. I reached over and grabbed my phone from its charger. When it blinked on I saw that I had woken up twenty minutes before my alarm. Usually, that would bother me, but not today.

I got out of bed and started getting ready for school. After taking a shower, brushing my teeth, and pulling on my uniform I still had fifteen minutes before I needed to leave. I had to decide between being productive and doing something or reading a chapter of a book. I decided on the latter.

I was finishing up a chapter when someone knocked on my door. I looked up from the page to see my mom standing there with a smile.

"Good morning honey. How'd you sleep last night?" I smiled and gave her a thumbs up.

"That's great! I'm glad that last night was better." She looked around my room, then back at me.

"You were up earlier than usual." She pointed out.

I shut my book and pulled out my phone.

I woke up before my alarm and decided to go ahead and get ready. I still had time after, so I thought I'd read a bit before I needed to leave. The robot voiced out my message.

She smiled at me warmly.

"Well, if you want, Takeo made some pancakes before he left for work. You can grab some before you need to leave." She looked down at her watch.

"It looks like you're going to have to take it to-go. You need to leave in a few minutes if you want to make it to school in time." I looked at my phone and silently gasped. I needed to leave in three minutes. I got too caught up in reading to realize how much time had passed.

I quickly stood up and gathered my things for school, kissing my mother on the cheek as I passed her.

"Have a good day at school. I need to finish getting ready for work, but I'll see you when you get home tonight." She started to turn around but paused.

"Oh, Takeo made you some lunch. I set it out on the counter for you. So don't forget it." She ruffled my hair and kissed my cheek before walking down the hall and into her room.

I carefully rushed down the stairs and into the kitchen. I grabbed a couple of pancakes and headed out the door, making sure I had everything. It was fairly warm this morning. I smiled to myself as I slipped on my headphones, bopping my head as I listened to the music.

I gripped the books in my arms and looked down at the bag that was looped on my left arm. I had washed and folded Kageyama's jacket last night, putting it away in a bag for safekeeping. I smiled as I recalled our conversation from last night. He was so sweet to give me his jacket. I needed to think of a way to thank him for it, but I wasn't sure how.

I guess I'll have to figure it out later.

I made it to the front gates of the school. I took a look around, noticing all the other students walking around. Some were walking into the building, while others were in groups laughing and talking. I wondered if I'd ever be able to do that so freely with someone.

I was brought out of my thoughts by someone poking my cheek. I looked to my left to see Hinata standing there, smiling so brightly the sun was put to shame. I felt like I needed a pair of sunglasses.

"Morning (Y/n)!" He said happily.

I freed one of my hands and took the headphones off my head, slipping them around my neck. I gave him a smile when they were secure against my shoulders.

"Did you get home okay? I was worried your walk with Kageyama might be boring."

I nodded at him, but then realized that it looked like I was saying Kageyama was boring. I tried to get my phone out of my pocket but only managed to drop a couple of my books. I looked over at Hinata embarrassed. He squeaked and helped me pick up my books. While he was still holding them I typed on my phone.
