This is difficult.
Trying to help Kageyama and Hinata study was proving to be harder than I originally thought it would be. Hinata kept getting confused and Kageyama kept saying he wouldn't remember anything. I tried to keep their spirits up...but I felt like I was failing by this point.
We were studying in the clubroom. Practice had ended a bit earlier and I was running out of steam just watching them try to understand and memorize everything. We had only been here for thirty minutes. It was Tsukishima, Hinata, Kageyama, Yachi, and me. Apparently Hinata had asked her to help as well since she was in a higher class than we were.
"This is impossible!" Hinata exclaimed as he dropped his head to the table. I winced at the sound.
I'm sorry if I'm making it more difficult. It's probably hard for you since I'm having to use the little robot to explain things to you.
The robot voice spoke for me, and I dropped my head in defeat. I didn't want to be a hinderance to them. I knew that having to pause and wait for me to explain using my phone had to be restricting.
"It's not your fault. You make it all easy to understand. I'm just having trouble focusing." Hinata sighed as he looked at me.
"You're a good teacher (Y/n)." Yachi said sweetly.
Thank you.
I was still doubting myself. It would be much easier if I could explain things without the dull voice of my phone making everything sound so incredibly boring.
"They're just too stupid." Tsukishima said.
"Hey!" Both Hinata and Kageyama yelled.
I smiled at them. I could understand their pain...but they weren't the easiest students to teach.
"I'm going home." Tsukishima got up and started pulling on his volleyball jacket.
"You said you'd teach us." Kageyama pointed out.
"I did. It's been thirty minutes. I've helped you enough for today, I'm going home." With that he walked out of the door.
We all looked at each other, unsure of what to do. I sighed; this was going to be a long journey. I reached up and rubbed at my temples. I was beginning to get a headache from the fighting and stress.
Just then Yachi yelped. I turned to her, looking to see what was wrong.
"My mom just messaged me and told me to bring home dinner. I've got to go." She started packing up her stuff, placing everything in her bag.
"You want me to walk you home?" Hinata asked her. She stopped packing and looked over at him.
"Y-you don't have to." She was fumbling with the zipper of her bag.
"It's late and my mom would be mad at me if she knew I let a girl walk home alone. Especially after you helped us study. You live kinda far from here, who knows what's out there." Her eyes bugged out at the latter part of his statement.
"... uh um..." She looked over to me and I shrugged. Yachi turned back to face Hinata.
"S-sure...if it's not too m-much trouble."
"Nope. Plus, that means I have an excuse to get food before I go home!" He sounded excited.
She stood up, brushing off her skirt. She pulled her bag over her shoulder and looked at me, smiling softly. Hinata was shoving all of his papers into his bag, I gave him a glare. I had just helped him organize everything moments before.
