I could see him coming towards me, and yet I couldn't move. He had been standing in the doorway just moments before, glaring at me. His eyes were the only thing I could see. They gleamed in the darkness, looking full of venom. It didn't take him long to move. Each step he took seemed to make the ground tremble. They were such terrible and thundering sounds, much like his voice. The ground beneath me was cold, the darkness of the room making everything feel more intense than it already was.

"(Y/n) stop lying on the ground. You're being pathetic!" His voice shook me to my core. I still couldn't move. I wanted to cover my face with my hands, but my arms wouldn't cooperate. It was like my body could no longer respond to me. The only thing I was capable of was shaking. My entire body was trembling in fear.

"No, please don't." My voice was barely a whisper, I almost didn't recognize it. It came out so small, like that of a child's.

He reached out, yanking me up by the hair. I shut my eyes tightly, I didn't want to see.

"(Y/n), don't you want to play with me?" His voice softened, but I wouldn't give in. I prayed to anyone who would listen to help me. I knew what was coming next. I knew I couldn't stop it from happening.

"Answer me when I'm talking to you!" He threw me back on the ground with so much force, that my head hit the wooden floor. I definitely heard something crack. I let out a whimper when I felt something trickling down the side of my face. My whole body ached; everything was hurting.

I heard him take a step closer. When he didn't make another sound, I slowly opened my eyes but flinched back. His face was now inches from mine.

"Be a good girl now." He said, roughly petting my hair.

I didn't have enough space, the room around me felt as if it was shrinking. I tried to make myself smaller, wanting so badly to get away. The instant I tried to move away I was more trapped than I was before. The wall was directly behind me, the roughness felt friged against my skin. I couldn't escape what was about to happen.

"Trying to run away now? Can't you see that I love you?" He grabbed my arm roughly, pulling me towards him. The darkness of the room made his features seem sharp and deadly. I tried my best to push him away, but I was too weak. He growled in response.

"You insolent girl!" There was that intense look in his eyes. I look I recognized all too well. I knew what was about to happen next.

I couldn't breathe. There was no air being pulled into my lungs. He was grasping my throat tightly and pressing roughly with his fingers. He had lifted me off the ground, pulling me to where his face was again inches from my own. I clawed at his hands, trying my best to pull him off of me. My nails were tearing away at his flesh, but to no avail. Black spots started to dance across my vision. I was losing consciousness. I tried vigorously to stay awake. I couldn't stomach the thought of what he was going to do to me when I was no longer conscious.

I lasted as long as I could before my body succumbed to the darkness, failing me yet again.

I awoke in a panic. My breathing was fast and unsteady as I tried to pull air into my lungs. Sweat was trickling down my face and coating my skin making my clothes stick to me. I yanked my bedding off me, it felt suffocating.

I tried to get up from my bed but stumbled onto the floor instead. My body was trembling uncontrollably. It felt as if though his hands were still there, wrapped around my neck. I shakily brought my hands up to my neck. I had to make sure that there was nothing there. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. I refused to let them fall. I angrily swiped them away.
