Betty's POV
"So how was your first day of school?"

I smiled and yelled "amazing! I made some friends!"

She then said "tell me, tell me!"

I laughed saying "well of course Veronica and her friends Archie and Kevin...then...there's this other guy named Jughead."

She then said "oh...a 'guy, guy' friend?"

I blushed saying "mom stop it your embarrassing me."

She laughed saying "oh come on! But tell me more of this Jughead."

I smiled and shrugged saying "he's very sweet, he drives a motorcycle, he's kind, he helped me out to walk from some places..."

I smiled saying "I am unsure what he looks like..."

My mom then said "I'm sure he is handsome, but that doesn't matter remember?"

I nodded saying "looks never matter it's how they are on the inside."

She laughed saying "correct."

I sighed as suddenly my phone began ringing, I reached for it and picked it up.

I asked "Betty Cooper speaking, who is this?"

Suddenly heard "Betty! It's Veronica! I want you to be my plus one to my friends party, would you like to come!"

I smiled lightly saying "hold up."

I then said "mother may I go to a party tonight with my friend? Please?"

She then said "if she comes to pick you up fine."

I smiled and nodded as I said "my mom said if you come pick me up?"

Veronica said "done! I'll be there at 6 to pick you up!"

I smiled and we went upstairs with my mom to help me get ready.

As she combed my hair I said "do you think people will socialize with me more if I go mom?"

She then said "you are an amazing girl, people won't care okay? You just be the best Betty you can be."

I nodded and I felt her kiss my head saying "I love you so much..."

I smiled saying "I love you two mom."

Suddenly we heard the doorbell and she went ahead of me.

I got downstairs as I heard "Betty! You look beautiful!"

I smiled rearranging my sunglasses saying "thanks..."

She then said "I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said that... I'm sorry...did it offend you!?"

I smiled lightly saying "thank you for for saying I'm beautiful...it's fine...I just would rather not have anyone...say that..."

She then said "I'm sorry..."

I shook my head saying "it's fine, I just prefer if you don't try to say anything of my beauty."

My mother whispered "she's insecure..."

I sighed and she said "I'm sorry sweetheart, be home by 11 and please be safe..."

I nodded and she hugged me and I felt Veronica grab my hand as we left.

When we arrived she said "don't worry we're gonna have so much fun! Just a reminder though that Kevin has a crush on Archie so just try to talk him up."

I nodded slightly as we began walking in. I was drinking from my water bottle.

All of a sudden I heard "well I never knew that someone like you would come to a party like this."
