𝑨𝑭𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑺𝑻𝑶𝑹𝑴

𝓒𝓱𝓪𝓹𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓯𝓲𝓿𝓮| 𝓟𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓫𝔃𝓪

I wake up sprawled on the floor, suddenly tensing when I feel someone's arms around me, I look up to see that it's sky I suddenly let go of a breath that I didn't know I was holding, I slowly got up making sure not to wake her soon getting up and seeing Zaryan, Zaviyan and Vera cuddling and Amelia and Luke hugging each other I look at my family with a small smile as I got up and went to the bathroom,

As soon as I got into the bathroom I slowly stripped myself of my clothes looking in the full body mirror, i instantly feel disgusted at my body, with cuts and bruises my ribs Painted black and blue as if I was a newly painted canvas, I suddenly start to feel angry, I wish I could bring them back to life just to kill them again, for the longest time I was their doll they did as they pleased without any remorse, hell they even sold me to THEM, when I was finally free I was put back into my prison just to suffer,

 Then again without them I wouldn't have found my true family I wouldn't have become as strong as I have, that's why I became Selene to protect those who couldn't protect themselves, I know when I do meet them I have to be strong because even a moment of weakness could get someone killed.

I shook my head at the thought and took a shower, when I got ready I left the bathroom to see everyone already awake. 

i made my way to the couch and there was silence before Skyler said "do you really have to leave Mon Cheri" (honey/my sweetheart), i nodded at her before sighing for the millionth time and got up and said "you guys act like you won't seem me often" i said with a slight smirk, 

Zaviyan broke out into a whine and said "but we'll miss you" running towards me, his 6'1 frame towering over my own 5'7 frame hugging me, i pulled away from him and with a large smile on my face i said "I'll miss you guys too", over at the side luke dropped his mug on the floor vera quickly rushing to him asking him if he's ok, whereas the rest of the group was still stunned, i wave my hand in Zaviyan's face slightly getting annoyed, noticing this he quickly snapped out of whatever trance he was in and said "YOU JUST SMILED" he said shouting,

 snapping the others out of the trance and i was once again tackled into a hug Shockingly by Amelia and she whispered: "we will really miss you, don't disappear on us Domina" (boss-Latin), we let go and i gave her my signature smirk and said "if i don't watch over you idiots who else will keep the money flowing", "vera" said luke looking at me with an obvious tone, we didn't need to share words as everything we wanted to say was already shared between our eyes. 

i smile at them once again, before leaving the "burrow" heading to the police station where my new life would soon start

(i decided to call their place in the underground the burrow, an inspiration taken from harry potter because in the harry potter movies it was depicted as a place which they call home and they can feel safe, sorry just a little background on why i used that word also in future chapters it might be used as their own personal slang for a party)

Once I arrived at the dreaded police station, I saw the familiar female officer and cleared my throat suddenly noticing my presence she looked up and smiled and said:

"oh Artemis your here great the social worker should be here any moment, do you have everything?"

I nodded not really wanting to engage in any conversation and sat down on a bench that was sitting in the corner of the room, suddenly a lady with a short skirt and a messed up button-up blouse waltzed in, looking around until we meet eyes she walked over to me and said "you're Artemis right" she said looking me up and down judgmentally and I looked at her and said " yea what's it to you" she scoffed and said " I'm your social worker" i looked her up and down with the same amount of judgment and said "honey are you sure, we're in a police station not one of your hookups" 

 Before she could retort, the female officer came around and said "oh your here great, Artemis can we talk" I nodded and followed her, "I know that we don't even really know each other and we only kind of got close because of your situation, but if you really need anyone help or anyone to talk to, just call me ok?" She said with a motherly look while handing me a piece of paper which had what I assumed to be her phone number on it, 

before I could say anything she said "oh I didn't even tell you my name I'm Alcina but everyone calls me officer Reyes" she said before pulling me into a small hug I instantly tensed up, and slowly lifted my arm to pat her on the back before she let go and she said "you should go you're going to be late to meet your family" I just nodded and whispered a small thank you before walking back to the social worker.

Third-person pov

Soon they arrived at the airport, as soon as they got their tickets Kimmy (social worker) looked at both tickets and said: "first-class huh, they sure are going very far for someone of your class" she said look Artemis up and down once again, hearing this struck a nerve in Artemis as she instantly grabbed her armed and pinned in around her back and said, "you know ever since I've met you,  you've been pretty much a bitch, I have a very large patience but you just keep testing me why is that hmm, I could snap your arms right here right now so you won't be able to hold a dick in your life and you wouldn't be able to do a thing would you like that hmm" Kimmy rapidly shook her head no, suddenly Artemis let her go "then you better learn your place I've been nice, but I don't tolerate any type of disrespect, got it?!" She quickly shook her head and sat down, Artemis lowly muttered, "dirty puttana"  

Soon they started to board the plane and took their respective seats, and soon enough the flight attendants started to demonstrate their safety procedures, tuning them out Artemis look out the window, soon enough she looked over to Kimmy who had just stood up and she looked forward to the male flight attendant, she watched as they both disappeared into a bathroom, Artemis rolled her eyes before slowly falling asleep.

(sorry if this whole chapter might have been a little over top, i probably  made it seem like she was leaving for good, i just wanted to show Artemis's relationship with the crew and a newly found friend of hers, also i just wanted to clarify that just because Artemis is soft towards the crew this is only because that is the family that she built from the ground up, to everyone else she is what you would call a cold and heartless bitch)
