"What are you doing here?"

"I'm pretty sure I live here."

"You moved out a long time ago..." He shook his head. "No, I never moved. Everyone else did, but I stayed." I looked at him in confusion, then  realization hit me. "You told Sean didn't you?" He smirked. "I'm gonna end your life one day, I swear."

"Just like Rachel huh?"

First Rebecca, now Rachel. Who's next? "Don't you dare compare that to Rachel. You know what happened. It was nothing like that." He put his hands up in defense. "I would believe you but we'll never know. "

Frantically stuffing everything I took out of my bag back in, I got ready to leave. I'm not about to be in the same place as Derek. He really bugs me enough and now he's saying he never moved from here! I threw my book bag on and walked pit the door. If I leave now I can make it to about two more cities. I walked for about three minutes before I heard a voice call me. I turned around reluctantly and gave the best fake smile I could manage. "Hey Veronica! What are you doin out here?"

" Hey Jonathan. I'm leaving town. I was only staying for a few days."

"Do you need a ride? I could drive ya where ya need to go."

"No thanks. I'll walk." He just smiled and stopped the car. "Come on little lady, get on and I'll drive ya. I know you don't wanna walk. Where ya headed to?"

"A few towns over. I hope that's not too far for you." I said, hopping in the truck and closing the door. I should get a car. I do have some saved money so I should get some type of transportation. "Not a problem at all. We'll be there in no time."

"Here ya are. Be safe Lil lady."

"Thanks. See ya soon. Jonathan." He smiled and drove off. What a nice guy. Too bad I'm not going to see him again.
