I've been on my journey for two days now. I've gone through two cities and I only have about sixty dollars left to get to where I'm going.
I've never had a problem with being a runner. It always came quite easily to just run away, but now, it's different. There's nothing that I loved in that town, but for some reason I'm second-guessing myself. Pushing that thought to the very back of my mind, I continued walking until I came across a very small town. It's getting really dark so I decided to stay in a small hotel for the night.

I'm almost where I want to be. Just a few more miles and I'll be good. I've been through about three cities and I've finally come to the right one.
As it came into view I sighed in relief. Its just how I remember it. Everyone in my family and friends moved out of it years ago and now I won't have to deal with anyone.. It's a fresh start that I absolutely need.
Snapping back into reality, I tripped over my foot and almost fell flat on my face, but someone caught me? I looked up and sure enough, someone did catch me. He looked a lot like..
Mason...
Mason.. He likes me. I already knew this, but when he told me it just.. I don't know.. "Watch where you're going there, don't wanna mess up that face of yours." Said the fairly attractive guy in front of me. He looked like Mason, but his facial features were slightly different. "I'm Jonathan by the way." He said smiling. "Veronica."
"Nice to meet ya Veronica. I haven't seen you around. Are you a newcomer?" Now that I think about it, Jonathan has an accent. "Yeah. Where are you from? I know you're not from here considering your accent."
"I'm from down in the country. I think you can tell though. My family moved here quite a few years back." I nodded. "Well, I'll see you around Jonathan. I've gotta find me a place to stay."
"You can come and spend a few nights with me. I don't think my folk would mind." "Thank you but, I'll find some place. I don't want to be a burden."
"Its really no problem. You ain't gon be a problem." He grabbed my bookbag and started walking. "Okay. I guess I'll stay until I find myself a place."
*******
I woke up early in the morning and I found myself a place. I didn't bother staying another night or telling Jonathan so I just left. He was a nice guy and all, but I needed my own place.
Throwing my bookbag down, I slipped on my shoes and walked outside. I need some fresh air. As I was walking, I noticed someone very familiar. What is he doing here? Maybe its not him. He wouldn't be here, would he? Shaking it off, I continued walking until I got closer. It was him. He looked in my direction and smiled. "Hello Veronica."
