I'm standing in the weapon room, preparing for the daily hunting on the spiders. They're growing in number every day, and they've become bolder. Mirkwood is overflowing with spiders. If we would only know where they come from, it would be so much easier. "Indiriël!" My brother was standing in the doorway with a grin on his face. "Are you ready?" "Of course I am, I don't want to miss all the fun! Beside, you'd be helpless without me." I said with sarcastic tone. I took my swords, my daggers and my bow and arrow. I ran out of the weapon room towards the gate, leaving Legolas speechless behind me. Me, Legolas, Tauriël, Anariël and a few soldiers were marching towards the place where the spiders were last seen. As I was listening to the conversation between my brother and Tauriël, I noticed that Legolas had grown very fond of Tauriël. But I didn't do anything because I didn't want to stand in the way of my brother's luck, but still, my father would never allow it. When we arrived at the spiders their web, the spiders weren't there. At least no spiders that were still alive, there were two dead spiders. Which left us to the conclusion that there were people wandering in Mirkwood, and out of the fighting marks that were left behind on the ground and on the trees, I could make up that they were not just people but they were trained warriors. Suddenly we heard a male scream coming from the north. We started running to the place where the scream came from. Not knowing if we were going to meet friend or enemy, we didn't take any risks and climbed in the trees to spy on them. And there were the spiders we were searching for, and a pack of dwarves. I always hated dwarves, they're selfish and they think they're better than everybody else. The dwarves were obviously going to lose against the spiders because they were outnumbered, but I don't care, they've probably deserved it anyway. But of course Legolas had to be a hero and as he jumped down he grabbed one of the spider web wisps and slided downwards. Soon the rest followed him downwards, leaving me behind in the tree all alone. Lastly I decided to go downwards anyway and save those stupid dwarves. As I landed on the ground I saw my brother threatening a dwarf that looked like the leader of the company. I approached my brother until I was standing next to him. "So, you've decided to come downwards anyway and save these dwarves." Said my brother still threatening the dwarf-leader. "Save them?! They're not worth it! Are you telling me you pity these dwarves?!" I said unbelieving, while I looked at the dwarves like they were filthy cockroaches. "No, I don't. I just want to know who they are and what they're doing here." He said calmly. "Search them, and take their weapons!" He commanded the soldiers. I didn't want to feel useless and started searching the dwarf who was standing the closest to me: a young blonde dwarf.
