I grinned as I walked into the dungeons of Mirkwood. All the dwarves were safely locked behind bars, including their king who has just returned from an encounter with my father. My father promised to set him and his companion free in exchange with some starlight jewels from the lonely mountain. But the dwarven king arrogantly refused. It was my turn to guard the dwarves. I walked past every prison looking down on every single dwarf. Until I reached to the young blonde dwarf. I could not fight the feeling that I started to like him. He was handsome, at least for a dwarf. It was already too late when I realised that I was staring at him. He looked at me directly in the eye. I firmly turned away and ran out of the dungeons to my room.

Later on the day I had to bring the dwarves their food, green food like they like to call it. When I served the blonde dwarf his food he complained about how awful our food is and that he longed to some fresh juicy meat made by his mother. "Well, you better get used to it, because this is what you're going to eat the rest of your life." He looked at me, and in his eyes I clearly saw he was offended. I rolled with my eyes. "Look...I'm sorry." He looked me deep in the eyes. "You know, you're different than the other elves." He said. I tilted my head trying to make out if this was either a compliment or an insultl. He noticed my hesitation and quickly added: "I mean... you live by your own rules and don't care about what others think of you. I like that." I felt my lips slowly forming a smile.

The next day I got disturbed while I was reading a good book, because of a loud banging on my door. "Indiriël! The dwarves have escaped!" Screamed my sister Anariël.

Together with my sister I ran towards the gate. Ready to get those dwarves back, right where they belong.
