After I killed Caladon I wandered to the top of the city, which was a ruined bell tower. I wanted to be alone with my thoughts, so here I am thinking about what I did. Was it wrong, what I did? Perhaps I should've thrown myself in front of my father, so Caladon would've killed me instead of my father. Or perhaps I just should've chopped his hand off instead of his head? It doesn't matter, because what done is done, and as much as I would want to, I can't change the past. My father and sister keep telling me I made the right call, I would love to believe that, but I have this voice in my head that keeps telling me I'm a terrible person and that I shouldn't have killed him. I spend the next few minutes thinking about this while I stare off into the distance. A while later I get pulled out of my daydream by a very loud thunk coming from the lonely mountain. I spueeze my eyes narrowed, trying to see what's going on there, but I'm not close enough to see clear. There's another loud thunk coming from the mountain. Now they really aroused my curiosity. I should probably tell my father, but I don't want to talk to anyone, I just want to be alone. But what if I went to check it on my own? I'm being pretty useless at the moment anyway, so why not? And even if it's nothing, then at least I have a reason to get out of this place. I decided the best way to get there was to go by night, because then noone could see me when I run toward the mountain in the dark. So it goes, at midnight punctual I get up, grab my bow, my sword and my daggers, and as soon as I'm ready I leave for the mountain. But as I'm still in Dale I have to avoid the guards, because princess or not, nobody leaves or enters the city without the kings' permission, so avoiding the guards it is. After I snuck out of Dale, I have to run in the open plain. So I run at my fastest, so I wouldn't get caught, although it's dark and the chance that someone is actually sees me is very small. When I finally arrive at the mountain I see they blocked the entrance with huge and heavy rocks, all stacked upon each other. I was just thinking about giving up because there's no way I can enter the mountain here, when something catches my eye, there's a gap between the neatly stacked rocks. It's just big enough for my body to fit in, and with my trained body I can climb on the rocks and reach the gap in no time. Without any problems I climb on the rocks, and then I wriggle my way through the gap, on second thought, it's a lot smaller than I thought, but I managed to succeed anyway. The gap amounted to a raise which was high enough to reach the top of the improvised blockade of stacked rocks and those dwarves even build a staircase out of rocks. I'm really amazed by those dwarves, because in the end there are only thirteen of them, which makes me wonder how they did it, and on top of that: this mountain has been inhabited by a dragon for so long I can imagine all the building material has been destroyed. Just when all these thoughts occur to me someone grabs me from behind, covers my mouth with a plump but firm hand and snitches my dagger out of my hand with his other hand. "You shouldn't have come." He whispers to me from behind. The voice belongs to someone I excepted never to see again, someone I completely forgot about after the situation with Caladon.
