"Why didn't you ever tell me about it?!" I confronted my father about Anariel's secret, after he came back from the forest. "So you followed us." he replied cool. "Answer the question! She's my sister, I had the right to know it, yet you didn't tell me anything and neither did she!" I shouted louder than I meant to. "Do not speak to me like that!" I saw he was trying to intimidate me with his loud and heavy voice, but he failed, he would not rule over me, not again. "Or you just forced her to shut her mouth?! Because that's what you always do, right?! Because, oh you're the great elvenking Thranduil and everyone who's beneath you, is just thrash, is that it?!" I could see I confused him with my sudden swipe, and I'd swear I saw some sadness in his eyes, but I probably just imagined it because my father never shows his feelings. As he squeezed his eyes, he wanted to say something back, but he got interrupted by an elf who ran towards him and tried to say somehing. I recognized it was the stranger I saw in the small house in Laketown where we fought the orcs. But she was still out of breath because of the running. "The... The dragon destroyed Esgaroth. He burned out the entire town. But they killed him. The dragon's dead. The people of Esgaroth need help." The dwarf! I almost forgot him because of all the commotion. I would never have admitted it but I was relieved he was save now. "So, the great serpent of the north is dead... Make a carriage ready and fill it with food, the men of Esgaroth need our help." He answered as he turned his back on me and just walked away. I couldn't believe my ears, or my father was truly confused by what I said to him or he suddenly became a great benefactor for no reason, or he just wanted something in return for his help, which was the most probable of them all. The elf bowed and also walked away. I stood there a while, in the middle of the elvenking's halls, still not believing what just happened. But it didn't matter, I was needed elsewhere.
