after the party everyone passed out, is it because of exhaustion or because of the rice juice? who knows? anyways, i'm laying beside shun "sleeping" with both of my arms covering my eyes. my ears then perk up when i hear isshiki-senpai welcome soma to the dorm once again and leave to go make something with some spanish mackerel.
isshiki-senpai then came back with his dish pepper mackerel and puree garnish. i can see the daydream- wait its not day uhm... the dream of soma... i guess that what happens when i'm not from this world lol. 'i feel like that would taste good with some sake, a spring themed dish with some cold sake sounds delicious right about now. though i can't expose myself yet, i need to wait'
"by the way soma-kun" isshiki-senpai starts 'goddamn, i can feel the tension... sheeeshhh' "i heard that you said something interesting at the opening ceremony. to stand at the top of totsuki may not be as easy as you think. let me formally introduce myself. i'm totsuki elite ten's 7th seat, isshiki satoshi." he continues.
"i'd like to try your cooking next." isshiki-senpai asks. "show me the stories you want to tell on a plate." he finishes.
i feel shun perk up from the conversation. some then stands up and accepts the request of isshiki-senpai. soma then sits back down and asks senpai if his family runs and japanese cuisine restaurant and of course isshiki-senpai asks why he thinks that. "pepper mackerel is a classic japanese dish and not anyone can make it like this." soma answers.
they both then go down to the kitchen and start cooking, well soma does. "well this is gonna be fun to watch won't it, ibusaki-kun?" i ask shun as soon as they both leave. he then flinches seeing as i knew he was awake and that i wasn't asleep. "ah yeah... how did you know i was awake though hikari-chan?" he asks me.
"well, i felt you perk up when isshi-senpai asked to taste one of soma-kun's dishes. also do call me jiyu instead." i answer as i sit up and lean on the bookshelf. i then see yuki stir and wake up, as she sat up, ryoko wakes up as well saying that she drank too much rice juice.
we hear the sizzle of soma cooking the mackerel as yuki asks if soma is cooking and ryoko asking if theyre still hungry. i then stand up walk over to sit beside shun on the bed. "it's a cooking battle." shun answers. "it's most likely that soma-kun is also cooking mackerel especially since 1. thats the ingredient isshi-senpai used and 2. that's probably one of the only main ingredients left for him to use." i add.
the two girl look back to see us, "ibusaki, hikari, you guys were awake?" yuki asks she then stood up and exclaimed "those two are competing? why?"
