Nialls POV

I was officially back home. I wasn't going to be here for long before we went out and did more promotion and worked on the soon-to-be-album. I was really excited for that. We all had ideas we wanted to blur out. We all wanted to go on the road again.

I was glad to be home. I was glad to see my family. I was glad I was able to just hang out and relax. But in the back of my mind, Juliet was there.

I had told Gregg about Juliet but that's because Harry spilled it all out. He teased me at first for being so into her. He kept repeating "Our little Niall is growing up." I later told him my thoughts on her and how she worried me.

My mom even asked about her. I told her she was doing okay. She even said she wanted to meet her. She wanted to see a picture of us but the only ones were taken by the paps. She had believed she was my girlfriend already. I laughed as she told everyone when I got home.

As much as I was enjoying my time, I kept thinking about her. The more and more I tried to clear my mind I couldn't. She was all that was in my mind and I didn't know how to make it stop.

I had figured that maybe I can't keep ignoring it so I picked up the phone and dialled.

It rang and rang.

Rang three more times and straight to voicemail.

I wasn't going to call back. I wondered that maybe she did want me out or maybe she was in the showers and she couldn't hear it.

And so I tried again.

It rang three times until she finally picked up.

"Hello?" she said. I was happy she picked up.

"Hi, Juliet. It's Niall. How are you?"

"I'm fine." Something was wrong. I could hear it in her voice. That type of tone you make when you've been crying. And plus she was sniffing.

"Juliet, are you okay? is everything alright?"

She stayed quiet. I could hear her breathe lightly. There was definitely something wrong. And she finally spoke after that moment of silence.

I sensed hesitation but she said, "Oh Niall," she said with a weeping yet helpless tone. I could hear her sob.

"Juliet, what's wrong? what happened? why are you crying?"

She stayed quiet again.

"Nothing. I need to go." And she hung up. I called out for her and she was gone. I stared at my phone as if she were watching me. Now she was even more in my mind.

If she was running through my mind earlier now she's practically there every minute. I needed to know was was wrong. She was definitely crying. I know it. She wouldn't have just hung up.

"Hey, everything okay?" Gregg walked in.

"Yeah. Everything's good."

"You sure? it doesn't seem like it."

I stood thinking. Everything else was okay but her. I just couldn't grasp to that thought. That's when I decided to go back to California.

"I need to go back."

"Back where?"

"Back to California."

"Are you crazy? You just got here."

"I know but I need to. Juliet needs me."

"Woah what? you're going back just for a girl."

"She's just not a girl. She's dealing with something that is real hard for her and I need to know what it is. I just finished talking to her and she was crying. I just can't be here ignoring the fact that she's hurting."

"How do you even know she was crying?"

"I just know."

"Wow care-free Niall has changed." He stood with his arms crossed.

"It fustrates me! it does. But I just can't leave it as is and I don't know why."

"You wanna know why?" Gregg walked over to me and put his hand on my shoulder. I looked at him. "Because you, my brother, have a huge heart. As cheesy as that sounds. You care about her."

I smiled and nodded. "Thanks," I said.

"But i'm coming with you."
