Suddenly the darkness of my room became even darker. My favorite spot was one of the corners of my walls where I could see my whole room. Matt really had me by a leash. I held my mom's picture in my hand and just cried my eyes out.

Sudden breezes would enter my room even though the windows were closed. THe breeze wrapped around my body causing me no movement.

Those nightmares continued and continued. This time some hitting was involved. In one, my mom slapped my right across my face. I felt the burning even when I woke up. My screaming would wake up my grandma.

She'd always ask me about them but I managed to make my way around it and lie. I always felt as if my grandma was going to say all those horrible things to me.

No one was home and that became a usual thing. Out of nowhere grandma began going out more and that was something she has never done before.

I lit up a cigar and it calmed my nerves. Then I saw a shadow creeping at my window. I quickly got up and put out the cigar.

Turning on the light, I realized it was Amy. I was so ready to push her off.

"Wait! Wait!" Amy said as she made her way into my lit up room. She looked around in awe as if she's never seen my room before.

"Get out of here or else you're gonna regret it."

"Wait, let me talk" I crossed my arms giving her the acceptance. She continued. "I wasn't thinking when that happened. I was on coke. You know how that makes you. Besides stupid Josh tried taking advantage of me too."

I wanted to hate Amy, I really did but I couldn't. She had a serious drug problem, But who was I to talk?

"You're kinda the only person who I have."

Her words seem so real and true. I didn't want to put my guard down. Trusting her was the least of my conerns right now. I sighed and sat on my bed.

I had given up.

"Look there's this house party going on tonight. You should come. I heard it's gonna be fun."

I glanced at her and then at my floor. She grabbed a small paper, wrote something, and left it there. Without saying anything, she left from where she came in. I grabbed the paper and read the address and the time. I lied on my back and hoped for this to be over.

---

11 came around and the house was completely quiet. I made my way towards the front door with ever step I made caused a squeak. Damn old house.

My grandma was a heavy sleeper so I knew it wouldn't be much of a problem.

It was colder than I thought but I kept myself warm by wrapping my arms around myself.

I stood at the porch and Niall came to mind. He was standing right where I was. He gave me that last hug right there. But he was gone. I quickly wiped the tear and made my way towards the party.

I walked for a good 25 minutes till I reached the house. The house looked very old and it was located in a trashy place. It explained why no complaints were made.

At the porch, I got greeted with a cigar by some dude. He lit it up and I began smoking it. Lots of people were inside, most of them drugged up and the others drunk. Some passed out randomly. Others making out. I was probably the only sober one.

I was hoping Matt wouldn't be here. He always avoided these types of parties because they were too "low class". Two hands covered my eyes and I pushed them off.

"calm down, it's just me" Amy was holding two cans of beer. My heart began slowing down. It was only Amy. "Don't worry, I don't think Matt or Josh are here so we'll have fun!"

I nodded in approval and I felt like I was going to have a good time.

5 cans of beer later and I was at my best. I was no longer the sober one. Dancing and dancing is what I did best at times like those. At that point, I didn't have a care in the world.

Someone's hands wrapped around my waist and they began dancing with me. I turned around and I saw Niall. Niall was at this party and he was wrapping his arms around my waist.

My lips moved towards his. I smiled and then got a clear picture. This wasn't Niall. This was Matt.
