This chapter will be a little different, since it is Freya's pov. I only stray away from Hope's pov every so often, I'm not even sure if this would happen again... probably not, but I felt like this chapter was needed to see Klaus in a different perspective.

Freya ran after Klaus but he was nowhere to be found. He was long gone from the woods. She desperately needed to talk to him. She had no doubt he'd be angry with her for keeping Hope's secret from him, but she was even more pissed at him for his violent actions. Freya knew he loved his only daughter and she was pretty sure he was drowning himself in guilt right now, for what he did to her. Freya had to do a locator spell to find him and as she suspected he was sitting in a bar, pouring the strong amber liquid down his throat, glass after glass. Freya sat down next to her brother by the bar. Klaus took one furious glance at her, before he gulped down one more glass of whiskey.

"Niklaus, you have no right to be angry with me. What the hell were you thinking? Strangling a student like that?"

"You can't blame me for that. I lost two children already and I would kill anyone who'd touch a hair on my stepdaughter's head."

"Even your own daughter?" Freya asked and Klaus growled in response, slamming the glass of drink on the bar in front of him.

"It's not her, Freya! Probably some bad joke from a teenager."

"It is her, I am certain." Freya replied calmly.

"How can you be so sure? There are rumors about my Hope's existence, anyone could use that against me and our family. She wouldn't just show up randomly in a school like this. Hayley would make sure she is never seen. She'd protect her, even from me... from her own family." Klaus said bitterly.

"Perhaps she was right not trusting you with Hope. Perhaps I am blind, trying to see only the good in you when there is so little left of it. Maybe it's better for Hope to never even get involved with you. You know how hard I tried to convince her to give you a chance when all she knew was those horrible story books about you? And she was almost there, almost ready to get to know you, our family, but you had to screw up everything! She will never trust us." Freya started to get upset.

"You are a fool if you believe it is her."

"Hayley is dead. Died three years ago and you have no idea what this girl went through all these years without her. She is the tribrid, Klaus! And she never even knew it. Hayley and Jackson kept her true identity a secret from her... they kept us a secret from her. She never learned to control her magic and you know exactly how powerful she is. She definitely has vampire blood... the way she healed after what you did to her... even a wolf couldn't heal that fast. But she is only comfortable with her wolf side, the only part she knew about herself. She is your daughter, she is your Hope." Freya tried to convince her brother. Klaus didn't look at her, just asked for another whiskey from the bartender then he was sipping on it slowly in silence. Freya didn't say anything, she knew he was thinking about everything she just said.

"Hayley is dead?" Klaus turned to Freya and asked with true sadness in his eyes. Freya nodded.

"Jackson too. Hope told me they were brutally murdered... some people attacked their home. They were after Hope, looking for the tribrid. The last three years they lived in hiding, fearing that someone would find them and end them like their parents... until recently Grace triggered her curse, and Alaric found them and brought them here." Freya explained and Klaus finally started to understand everything. There was only pain and regret in his eyes.

"Is she really her?" Klaus whispered.

"Yes, you know she is. And you tried to kill your own daughter." Freya knew he was already feeling guilty but he deserved it. Hope or not he was way out of line for hurting a student like that.
