When Hope opened her eyes she was still there, in that room in New York City. How was that possible? She was supposed to be dead. She looked at her side. Klaus was kneeling on the floor and his head was laying on the bed next to Hope. His hand still held Hope's, not able to let go. Hope squeezed his hand, then he slowly lifted his head. For a moment he didn't react, just looked at Hope's eyes in awe.

"You're okay!" He said and stroked her hair, pulling Hope upto hug her. Hope hugged him back with ease. "How is this possible?" He asked as he broke away. Hope shrugged.

"Maybe because the serum is from my blood." Hope took a deep relieved breath.

"I thought I lost you forever." He still held her hand as he had a relieved smile on his face.

"I really thought I was going to die... I thought I'd never see my sisters and brother again." Hope said as a tear rolled down her face. Klaus had sadness in his eyes and Hope knew why.

"Maybe Freya could save him, if he got to her in time." She said hopefully and Klaus smiled at her comforting tone.

"My brother is gone." That's all he said.

"I'm so sorry."

"You know he gave you your name. He said you were our family's only hope. He said you are worth every sacrifice, every fight. So let's honor his word and get you home." Klaus pulled Hope up by their joint hand. Klaus caressed her face. "You need to feed." He said as he brushed his thumb across under her eyes. It must have looked awfully dark. Hope nodded. She was starved out at this point and the agony of dying didn't help with her hunger. "Lucien is a coward, he won't face me alone. As soon as they step inside, I'll distract them and you go for the witch. Can you do that?" Hope nodded but she wasn't so sure of herself.

Didn't pass much time when they both heard footsteps closing up to the room. They looked at each other as the door was opening and Hope gave a slight nod to Klaus. He didn't even wait to see who it was, he ran with vampire speed to the door and grabbed the first person he could put his hands on. When he noticed it was the witch, he tossed her to Hope's way. Hope stumbled towards the witch as she took a glance at Klaus, who was already fighting violently with Lucien while cursing him. Hope had to focus on the witch, who in the meantime got on her feet and as soon as Hope grabbed her, the witch said a spell that made both of Hope's legs break in half. She fell to the floor immediately with the familiar pain of breaking bones. Hope didn't cry out, she didn't even hiss as her legs were dangling below her knee. She couldn't give up, she crawled to the bedside table, grabbed it and threw it to the witch, with an awfully embarrassing aim. She only hit her legs as the witch was murmuring another spell, trying to obtain Klaus, but it was enough to disturb her and pay attention to Hope. Hope could already started to feel herself healing, and the witch was stupid enough to walk to Hope. She grabbed Hope by her shirt.

"Was this not enough for you little girl?" The witch said and started to say the same spell, now breaking one of Hope's arms, but she got so close to her, that Hope quickly got on her feet which were still week, but almost healed, squeezed the witch's neck with her healthy hand so she wouldn't be able to speak, then she quickly bit into her pulsepoint and sucked her dry violently in matter of seconds and as she finished she tore the witch's head off, letting it roll on the floor, trailing blood everywhere to the pretty white carpet. When Hope calmed down from her feast, she noticed Klaus under Lucien's hand. Lucien was ready to bite him.

"Hope run!" Klaus yelled at her. Hope could just run. The witch was dead, no spell was holding her in the room... but if the witch's spell was broken by her death then she should be able to do magic, and with that quick thought Hope reached towards Lucien and said that same spell that the first witch used to crush Hope's heart. She did the same to Lucien, magically squeezing his heart, causing him the burning pain through his entire body. He was struggling on the floor, while Klaus walked to Hope and proudly put a hand on her shoulder. When Lucien was motionless and his heartbeat had stopped, Klaus took Hope's hand and led her out of the room, but a group of three people ran towards Klaus and Hope. Hope squeezed his hand and she was ready to attack again, but Klaus showed no sign of stress and one of the people, a blond girl came crashing into Klaus's arms with a hug. Klaus let Hope's hand go with the sudden contact and Hope felt utterly alone. The girl was crying as she was saying Elijah's name over and over again. When she pulled away, she looked at Hope with a sad smile, tears in her eyes.
