It was quiet, with the spring breeze passing making the trees shower the pathways with different kinds of flower petals as if they were confetti.
You two walked side by side with your pinkies intertwined, as you two were too shy to actually hold hands yet.
"I didn't expect us to be this quiet." Yedam giggled as he looked at you who was looking up at the trees. "Do you not like how it went or—" He tried to ask.
You two just recently admitted to liking each other, not being able to contain your feelings to yourselves anymore. But neither of you expected to actually have your feelings reciprocated, making it hard for you two to navigate your relationship's direction.
"I like you." He said stopping in his tracks, making you look back at the boy who was dressed in the yellow uniform.
"What?" You said not being able to comprehend what he just said, you were taken aback at the sudden confession, only thinking about how you two were going to get home today.
"I said," He said as he made his way towards you slowly. "I like you." He smiled.
It felt surreal, as you always daydreamed about how you two would eventually come to like each other. It was your moment, with flower petals slightly lingering in the background with the faint voices of the students from the building being heard.
Although neither of you had dated before, you two felt like it was already time for someone to confess, with Yedam beating you to it as he didn't hesitate as much as you.
"And I like you too." You smiled at him with sparkles in your eyes, as the sun almost spotlighted you two, with the small openings from the trees opening up to shine onto you two only.
Now here you are, walking beside each other after confessing to each other a few minutes ago, acting as if nothing has happened.
"I'm just shy." You softly answered him as you looked at the boy who was already observing you. "We've never talked about this before so I don't know how you feel about it."
"I'm fine with whatever your comfortable with." He said as he rubbed his fingers against your pinkies, reassuring you that it was okay if you didn't want to hold hands yet. "I can wait for you."
