"The gate for flight AST023 is now open." The announcement echoed through the airport, making you hasten your steps as you approached your gate.

After working for a while, you finally decided on treating yourself, especially after working right after you graduated last year.

"Bound for Paris?" You asked the flight attendant as you entered the area, taking your seat in front of the big airport windows.

The airport was quiet, still, as if there were no other flights except for yours. It was off season, with only a few people traveling right now as there was nothing special during this time.

But to you, it was the perfect moment.

"Eunwoo," You softly said, making the gamer boy look at you with a soft hum in response. "Where would you want to travel to?"

"I'd want to travel around the world with you, my love," He said as he paused his game, fixing your position as he sat you facing in front of him. "But I don't think it's the right time yet."

"When do you think is the best time?" You said as you rested your head on his shoulder, kissing it softly, making him giggle at you.

"When the world is slow, when everything seems peaceful," He said as he daydreamed of you comfortably resting your head on his shoulder on a plane. "Just like how the world slows down when I watch you sleep during the morning."

"And why do you watch me sleep during the morning?" You said with a giggle as he tightened his hug on your hips.

"I like seeing my world at rest."

Memories flashed back as you saw a couple entering your boarding area, making you remember everything you two dreamt of.

"I don't think it's working for me anymore," He said as he carefully packed his things from your apartment, facing away from you as he let go of his words. "It's just too tiring."

"I know, and I'm sorry." You said as you sat down on the bed, with your head low, already preparing for what he was going to say next.

"I should've been better, I should've made more time, I'm sorry I couldn't be th—" You tried to apologize but he cut you off.

"It's not you," He said as he closed the box of his belongings, finally facing you as the moonlight slipped into your apartment through the windows. "It just feels like this is not love anymore."

"Eunwoo," You said as you grabbed his hand right after he sat down beside you. "You know I love you." You said looking up at him with a few tears brimming.

"I know, and I love you," He said as he caressed his thumb onto the back of your hand. "But love shouldn't be this tiring." He breathed out.

"We should be each other's home, each other's rest," He said with a heavy heart, feeling as if it was crumbling after each and every word. "But I don't think we feel that way anymore right now."

"I think we should break u—" He tried to say before you cut him off.

"Let's take a break," You breathed out, closing your eyes as you let go of those words. "And maybe we'll find our way back to each other in a while." You said, trying to stay hopeful for your love.

"Aren't you tired?" He said with a scratch on the back of his neck, worried about how you kept grabbing onto something that was already drifting away.

"You'll always be in my heart," You said with a sad smile, putting your hand on top of his as you reassured the boy who was already losing faith in you two. "And I'll just have to wait for mine to be able to make its way back into yours."

The couple made you think, that could've been you two.

They made you think about your promises, how you two would travel the world to find comfort and rest in each other.

And here you are, trying to find your comfort, your rest, and maybe even your love. You're on your way to the City of Love for god's sake.

"Flight AST023 is now boarding." The speakers echoed through the empty airport, making you start and prepare yourself to leave.

You made your way to the desk, into the plane, and finally onto your seat, making you drop your bags on the small bin on top of your seat.

You reclined your chair, knowing that the plane was almost empty, peacefully looking out the window as you waited for your plane to leave.

"And here we are." A familiar voice echoed through your ears, making you immediately look at the man who stood on the aisle, looking at you with a soft smile.

Comfort.

"You remembered." You said with a smile, feeling as if fireworks were blowing up in your small heart.

"I do this every year," He said as he showed you his passport, full of stamps from the countries you said you wanted to come to, every date being the same as today's. "After realizing how I needed to see you."

"You mean the world?" You said as you let go of his pet name for you in the past, as you tried to move on from him.

"No," He said as he took his seat beside yours. "I already told you. I needed to see you, my world."

"And you really thought going on an expensive trip every year would help you find me?" You said with a chuckle, trying to hide your embarrassment through joking.

"'Cause they say if it's meant to be," He said as he recalled the numerous times he tried to guess your booking every time this time of the year came. "You'll know."
