"He must be so scared right now." You told yourself as you rushed around the house, trying to get ready to go out. "Don't worry Geon, noona's coming to get you." You said as you sat by your doorway, tying your shoelaces up in a rush.
But amidst your hectic state, your doorway slowly opened to reveal your brother walking in hand-in-hand with someone wearing a similar uniform with him.
"Noona!" Geon exclaimed as he ran to you, giving you a big warm hug making you freeze on your spot knowing that you were supposed to pick him up from his class. "Today a nice hyung offered to take me home."
"That's great Geon!" You said trying to encourage the small boy. "But didn't we talk about talking to strangers? Especially coming with them?" You said trying to teach him how to protect himself from those kinds of predators.
"Yes I still do noona!" Geon said as he took off his shoes, putting them into the shelves where they were supposed to go. "But he's my new taekwondo teacher."
"Okay then," You told him in a strict tone, but still soft and casual trying not to lecture him in front of the stranger standing in your doorway. "But we still need to talk about it later, okay?" You told him, crouching down in front of him to show him your serious gaze, making him nod properly.
"Sorry about that." The boy in your doorway apologized before you could even face him. "I just felt bad that he was the last student to come home."
"It's okay but our family is still teachi—" You tried to explain as you made your way up to face him, only to cut your sentence short as you realized who you were facing.
It was Yohan, your grade's taekwondo athlete, and maybe the guy you also had secret feelings for.
"Oh, I didn't know you were teaching too." You shyly said as you stood frozen in front of the boy.
"I wanted to share my knowledge about the sport." He explained as he wore the house slippers you took out for him. "And I think it's smart for children to learn self defense at a young age too." He said smiling as you two walked inside.
"Thank you for walking Geon home," You said as he sat on the kitchen island, with you brewing tea for your guest. "But I always walk home with him together."
