-Goddess-The little girl screamed as we forced her to try the new product Nico created. "Alright, we'll see how it treats her in an hour or so," I shrugged. Legend seemed to be collecting herself from witnessing the girl's cries and pleads. "Well, uh, won't it most likely affect her different since she's a kid and the products will be advertised to adults?" she asked timidly.
"It doesn't matter," I said firmly, "we just need to make sure it works for humans. Nicotine had some good sells with the cocaine lotion-cream-whatever, and I want to get my side of the business some dough for helping sell some of her products."
My phone buzzed as Legend was about to say something. "It's Nico. Hold on a second," I held up my hand to Legend.
"Devil speaking," I answered.
"We got some more info. The guy I sent down to the hospital came back with an interesting reaccount of what happened."
"So what is it?" I kicked the dazed girl aside and sat in the office chair. Legend stared at me, listening to my call in the quiet room. Even then I barely looked at any details in the office.
"He has a daughter. Es-
"Does she share the same last name?" I asked.
"Yes. Lavigne. And uh, the two shootings were found to be connected. The girl went to fight someone, they started shooting, she fled to her house with a group of people and the best friend, then her father got shot. We have a problem though."
"We all have problems don't we?" I shrugged, glancing over at the girl shaking on the ground. I moved the phone away from my mouth and looked over at Legend. "You might wanna take care of her."
"Okay, so the girl that Lavigne's daughter fought is at the center of this," I commented, going back to my call.
"You never asked what the problem was, Devil," Nicotine murmured.
"What was the problem, Nico?" I asked sweetly, twirling a curl with my finger.
"The police know the same amount of information that we do because they arrived there first," she commented.
"Damn," I rubbed my forehead. "Okay, send someone to monitor the girl. She doesn't need to be asked any more questions by them. What high school? What's the age? What's the girl's name that Lavigne's daughter fought?"
Nico paused for a moment and started clicking away. "Okay, we don't have the answer to your last question, but I do have the answer to the first two."
I waited for Nico to pull up the info impatiently, while Legend watched in terror as the girl started crawling across the floor, salivating everywhere. She was acting like a wild animal, and her eyes looked glazed.
"Legend, take the damn girl out of here and sell her parts. I don't have time for another murder on my hands this hour," I told her, annoyed.
"Uh, you ready?" Nico asked me, sounding awkward. "Yea," I said, leaning back in my chair. "She's 17, attends Perry Island Street Senior High," Nicotine reported. I checked the time. "My family will probably be getting back soon," I mumbled to myself. "I'd be going to that school if I didn't have to be in a GED program...and of course, if I was younger," I commented to Nico. "What school you go to Nico?"
