-Goddess-

I walked through the house at 4, ignoring everybody. I didn't make any eye contact with anyone. I was taking my car keys out of my pocket when my mother popped up out of nowhere.

"Could you take Dayton to HEB," she asked. "He's in the shower right now, but he won't be long," my mom stated. I sat on the leg of the couch waiting for my second oldest brother. He was 23, but you would've thought I was the oldest sibling out of all my mom's kids the way everyone interacted with me. Antonio was the only person I was unsure of. He went to the military as soon as he could, academy and all. I think seeing me...as Devil really fucked him up too.

I pulled out my phone and told Nicotine I'd be a little late. I was sort of looking forward to playing some games and having fun. This whole Lavigne case was getting stressful, and everybody needed a break. Even the Devil.

"Did she say- Oh hey," my brother spotted me, drying his head with a towel. Men I tell you, the stupidest creatures on Earth. I rolled my eyes and got up. "Do you need a ride back too?"

He shook his head and I decided to save my questions for later. He dumped his towel on the kitchen table before Mom could yell at him and we headed out to the car.

Once we got into my truck, I looked over at him. "You just staying at HEB for fun? You do know that's a grocery store right?" I laughed, pulling off. I didn't bother with seat belts right now, and started driving towards the intersection. "I needa get some stuff, but I'm going to a party. It's just a small lil get together," my brother shrugged. He started fixing his durag on his head, checking himself out in the mirror.

"It must be some females there," I rolled my eyes.

"Women," he corrected. "And right you are," he smirked. I rolled my eyes again, making a turn. "I swear, nobody in this family is normal except me. Y'all all act like middle class white teens."

"Cap," he smirked, as if to prove a point.

"It's the way y'all talk, really," I tried to explain. "It just irritates me," I said.

"What doesn't?" he commented.

"So Mom know you going to a party or I needa cover for you?" I asked.

"I'm grown, I got my own place. I just know how she gets when I tell her I'm going to a party or that I'm gonna go smoke," he shrugged. "I'm too grown to be arguing with her, I might say some shit that'll make her cut me off."

"She'll prolly be doing that to me soon," I laughed, then on a serious note said. "And don't smoke nothing with blue specks in it."

"Blue specks? The fuck?" he laughed.

I shook my head too, pulling up to the always crowded HEB. Nico would need to change the color of that shit if she wanted to sell it here in the US. Ain't nobody finna trust no oddly colored weed or whatever the fuck that shit mostly was. It was like a bologna of chemicals.

"Ight. You sure you'll have a ride?" I asked him.

"Yeah, and Devil," he said tentatively. "Mhm?" I looked over at him. "Try to go easy on Mom. She's been worried for a long time. But I get your side of things too," he patted my shoulder a second later. I watched my brother get out and go into the store. I pulled off and headed back onto my original route.

I called up Nico, cradling the phone as I drove.

"Blue weed speaking," she answered.

"Chile about that- You should probably change the colors," I laughed.

"But I like it," she fake whined.

"Anyways, I'm on my way to Main Event. I just dropped Dayton off at HEB," I told her.

"Ight. How far away are you?" she asked me.

"Man, ion even know," I shrugged. "I'll be there soon though."

"Ight, it's just you and me?"

"You and me," I repeated.

The line was quiet for a moment.

"Ight, ima gon ahead..."
