-Goddess-I sat at the empty mechanic shop, waiting for someone to arrive. I guess it wasn't opening hours yet or something. I was on the front steps minding my own business when a car pulled up.
"Hey," a woman with short hair and dramatic makeup waved to me.
"Hello," I stood up.
"You need something done for a vehicle?" she asked me. Okay so she was a mechanic. "My truck needs to be fixed. Um, a friend said something about my radiator. The truck is being towed here. The dude said it should arrive in like a few minutes," I told her.
She nodded and headed towards the door. She pulled out a key and started opening up the establishment. "I'm Olivia. Radiators are easy, it just might cost you a bit. You got any cash on you?"
"You guys accept card?" I asked, digging through my pockets.
"Yea," she let me in and I was grateful for the cool inside. I sat in a cushioned chair as she checked me in. "My brother recommended you guys but somebody different helped him," I explained.
"Oh, probably Mr. L, he's out because of an injury," she explained. I nodded and watched as the tow truck appeared. "That's my truck. It's a bit older, but I hope it can be an easy fix," I explained, watching them park.
"Doesn't look like something too far out of my fixing range," she got herself outfitted into a suit and smirked at my truck. "This looks like it'll be fun."
"I love this truck," I explained watching the truck slowly lower off the back of the tow truck. "It's something about older cars that gets me excited," Olivia smiled. We went out to the garage and I watched as she started to work on my truck. "What's the approximate time you'll be done?" I asked her, checking my phone.
"Probably an hour. This shouldn't be no problem," she shrugged.
"Okay, is it fine if I come back within an hour," I asked, putting away my phone. "Yeah you're all good," Olivia nodded, under the hood.
I called up Nicotine, planning to ask her if she was busy today, if for at least a few minutes.
"Hey."
"I'm at the car place. She said she'll take about an hour. Wanna grab something to eat? I haven't had breakfast," I suggested.
"I'm not even dressed. I think by the time I get out to you, it'd be an hour," Nico chuckled, sounding sleepy.
"Well, I can Uber to you then," I immediately said.
"Sure. Lemme just clean up. Lemme know when you get here." I ordered an Uber to Nicotine's place, looking out the window for my ride. It arrived here as soon as another car pulled up. It was a dark pink Ford Express, filled with a family of people. I got into my ride and watched as an older man hobbled out on his leg and a girl steadied him.
I went back to my phone, deciding on playing a game while I waited to reach Nico's.
Nico called me again. "Hey, my mom is here so no business talk," she told me quickly. "She's in the shower right now so I don't know if she's gonna leave or what. I already told her you were coming over though." I said "ok", then hung up so that I could go back to my game. I had forgotten that Nico's mother wasn't aware of the life her or I lived, but neither were my parents either.
We pulled up to Nico's and I tipped the driver through the app. I got out and found Nico's apartment in Stafford Blue. Her mom opened the door with a sweet smile. "I was just about to go and get the mail. Hey, Goddess." Nico's mom had known me since forever, but still called me by my government. I gave her a polite smile then slipped inside to search for Nico.
