Chapter 1

Lalisa Manoban

"At 3pm you have a meeting with the foreign investors and lastly at 5pm you have an inspection with the engineers for the on going construction of the Yellow Mu." I sigh as Mina, my secretary, recites my whole schedule for today.

"Can you cancel the inspection? I have some important things to do later this afternoon." I said while tapping my fingers on my table.

"I'll inform them. Anything else Ms. Manoban?"

"That's all." I replied shorty and she slightly bowed her head before walking out the door.

"Ms. President!" I didn't bother to at the person standing in front of my table.

"Seulgi, it's so early.." I said.

"Anong akala mo? Aayain kita uminom ng ganitong oras?" She asked as she sat on my couch.

"Ano pala?" It's either she has a new chic that she'll reto or mag aaya uminom.

"So.. Diba I told you before about my long time crush? that also lived here before and then came back to Korea? Before you even came here for college." She said while making herself a coffee.

"Yeah.. and?" I confusedly asked.

"She's coming back here in the Philippines with a friend.." She said and I'm still figuring out what's the deal.

"So?" I said uninterested.

"So.. it means we'll have to throw them a party!" She said while raising her cup of coffee. Kang Seulgi is my friend since I moved here. I am originally from Thailand, I went to Korea to finish my Junior and Senior year but I moved here after and started my college years here because we have a lot of branches here in the Philippines. Suelgi was my roommate, we went to an international school and majority of the students were from China, Korea, Japan  and Thailand.

"But it will be exclusive because her friend is an international model pero I'll invite my other friends para you can mingle with them." Then she winked at me. I rolled my eyes on her.

"I won't be hooking up with an actress anymore and I'm not going.." I said looking at my laptop.

"I didn't say you should hook up with her, duh! And you're coming with me wether you like it or not wag maarte." I just look at her in disbelief. She shrugged.

"I better get going, dude.. today is that day right?" I didn't answer and she just went near my table.

"You know what she'll say if she's still here?" I just keep my eyes on the blank screen of my laptop.

"Get a life! It's already 5 years dude.. she'll scold you if she's here." My eyes went up to meet hers.

"She's not here anymore.." I said with a hint of irritation in my voice. She knows me too well she knows I'm getting pissed.

"That's my point.." She almost whispered. I didn't answer, there's no point of arguing with her.

"I'll better get going.. don't drink too much this time." I didn't bother to look at her. She went out and I was left on my office alone. I lean back on my chair and stared at the wall for more than a minute.

"Ms. Manoban? 5 more minutes before the department meeting." I came back to my senses when I heard Mina.

My boring day at work ended with those annoying investors. I went inside my car after I informed my security that I won't be needing them for now but there still a convoy following me. I stopped by a flower shop. The smell of the different kinds of flowers invaded my nose. It's so calming.
