Chapter 3

Lalisa Manoban

"Why do you love the sunset so much?" I asked as I held her hand. The cold breeze lingers through my skin as we walk on the shore.

"Because it's beautiful.." She answered. Her hair danced as the wind gently kissed her.

"What's the difference between me and the sunset?" I asked looking at my beautiful scenery.

"The difference, my love is that whenever I look into your eyes, I forget about the sunset."

I woke up with the sound of my phone. I groaned and grabbed it to who the hell is calling at this hour. I answered it half asleep.

"Yah! Manoban! I told you to come here before lunch! What time is it?" I look at the caller and the clock on my bedside table. It's already 1pm.

"Ugh.. I overslept.." I said burying my face on my pillow.

"Get your ass up now! Bye!" Byul dropped the call and I just get my ass up. I got up and went to my window.

"Hey there.." It doesn't look like it's dying tho. I water the plant and went to the bathroom to clean myself.

"Mr. Cuanco, Is there any progress with the property of Mr. Lim?" I asked through the phone.

"Yes ma'am, that's why I called. Mr. Lim would like to have you in Batangas this Monday to talk about the proposal." He said.

"Okay good. I'll be there on Monday.." I put down the call and focus my eyes on the road. I really like to expand my property in Batangas. If I ace this property of Mr. Lim, I will be owning the biggest plantation in the region.

I parked my car in front of Byul's house. I can already sense that she's pissed. It's already 3pm and she told me to come before lunch.

"You're such an ass!" She yelled as I come inside.

"Damn.. chill dude." I said and went to her couch.

"You just missed a once in a life time opportunity, Monoban. I was about to introduce you to my friend's cousin. Sadly they are leaving this evening. Sayang yun." She went to the fridge to get something to drink.

"There are plenty of fish in the sea, Byul." I said leaning on the couch.

"Ulol! Kong hindi ka kasi kupal edi sana nakilala mo. I think you'll like her but never mind. I know they'll comeback, her cousin will open an art gallery next month, we should pay a visit. I know you like those." She said giving me a beer.

"Forget it, Byul. I'm sure there's a lot of pretty chic mamaya in the party." She smirked.

"Yeah.. for sure. Nayeon will be there so she'll bring a lot of her model friends." You can really sense the excitement on her voice.

"Babaero ka talaga." Iling kong sabi.

"Sadyang mapag mahal lang ako, Manoban.." I smirked.

"Oo basta naka palda mahal mo na." I teased.

Mabilis na lumipas ang oras and we are on way to Seulgi's house.

"Akala ko ba exclusive 'to? Bakit ang daming sasakyan?" I asked as we saw those cars lined outside her house. You can see the lights from afar and you can also hear the banging music from here.

"Exclusive for the elites.." Byul just shrugged. There's still a space reserved for us inside. The whole house is so alive and people scattered all over the place.

"Yoow!" Some guy approached us. It's Jackson Wang, he's one of our friends.

"Lisa! So it's true, you're really going to be here." Sabi niya na parang gulat na gulat na makita ako dito.
